Who doesn't love #chicken ?!?
The sweetness of its marinated chicken sauce makes me crave for the chicken and i couldn't let go the sauce even though the chicken's basket has empty!
The chicken is slightly bigger. Tender meat and juicy to match with the store name #chickenup
Since my last visit 3 years ago, Chicken Up has 'upped' their game, with a revamped menu and ambience.
This appetizer is among the best things I've eaten here, with tender soy marinated beef, loaded with onions and mayonnaise over piping hot fries.
Incredible.
They share their menu which means we get to order from either places. The Mexican-Korean food takes longer time to prepare though.
Runs as a drinking bar by night, it tranforms itself into a Korean brunch & dessert cafe by the day.
Personally, would recommend sitting at Chicken up if you prefer a proper dining area and more conducive to chit chat. However, if you opt for some after-work drinks or party celebration, the hip music from the DTMM bar will work fly.

Thanks @dtmm.sg for the complimentary.
Seems like there's a tendency for their chefs to overcook the food here! The fried chicken pieces (top left) were so badly burnt, little was left by the time we trimmed off the blackened parts. The pork belly rice bowl (bottom left) tasted best amongst all, but still, the charred bits that lined every slice of pork were unpleasantly bitter. The BBQ pork ribs (bottom right) were tender enough on the inside, but the borders were extremely tough and dry. The miserly few pieces of chopped seafood on the pancake (top right) were also too rubbery to eat. I can only say, should have eaten at the nearby chomp chomp instead!
Korean-Mexican food? I was doubtful but intrigued. We ordered a selection of their recommended items: Kimchi Carnitas Fries, Chili Lime Shrimp tacos, Barbacoa Pork tacos and Honey Tequila Chicken Wings. Drinks: Frozen Passionfruit Margarita and Dae Han Mango (Upside down beer bottle in a frozen margarita). Every single item we ordered was a hit. Approx $120 for 2 pax. Highly recommended. You won't regret it.
