A hidden gem with a loyal following, Cacio e Pepe serves good quality Italian food minus the pretense. Enjoy a lovely meal with your date in this cosy neighborhood joint, without having to venture into the crowds. Start with the portobellos, and try either the tagliatelle with scallop in truffle cream sauce, or the squid ink risotto. While pasta may not seem deserving of a $20+ price tag, these are very good, and are more worth it than the pizzas here. The ambiance is lovely, dim and intimate yet vibrant and casual at the same time. Dress up or dress down as you like, it's just about good food and good company here.

Stewords Riverboat offers probably one of the most unique dining experiences - Tex-Mex cuisine on a boat overlooking the Marina South Pier. Although not a view to get particularly excited about, it adds a touch of fancy and is really scenic at night. The Sizzling Fajitas and Turkey Quesadillas here are excellent, as are the Frozen Margaritas. Note: it can get rocky with the occasional wave!
