Visited Seng House for a weekday dinner and had a great experience. The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere, and service was warm and welcoming.

We decided to share two mains, drinks and a dessert. Surprisingly, we thoroughly enjoyed the linguine bolognese, a simple and unassuming dish with bold and tangy flavours that made it addictive.

The hojicha latte turned out to be another pleasant surprise, with deep earthy flavours that was nicely balanced without being overly sweet.

We finished the meal with banana cake served with coconut ice cream. The warm cake paired perfectly with the creamy yet not too rich ice cream, and was a great sweet treat to wrap up the meal.

Seng House was a wonderfully quaint place that made for a lovely evening with friends, and the food is well worth trying!

Dropped by Seng House and really liked how understated yet thoughtful everything was.

We went with a few dishes to share. The Crabmeat Carrot Cake was honestly very well done — crispy without being greasy, and the crabmeat wasn’t just for show. Comfort food, but elevated.

The Bao’d were soft and pillowy, and you can tell care was put into the fillings. Nothing overly fancy, just clean flavours done right.

The Pork & Satay had a nice smoky char, and the sauce complemented the meat instead of overpowering it. Simple, satisfying, and easy to enjoy.

The biggest surprise for me was the Lasagna Verde. Rich but not heavy, and the burrata on top added a really nice creamy balance. It felt indulgent without being too much.

Had the Apple Crisp Kombucha alongside the meal — refreshing, light, and not sweet at all. A good palate cleanser especially with richer dishes.

Overall, Seng House feels like a neighbourhood spot you’d keep coming back to. Good food, relaxed atmosphere, and a menu that feels thoughtfully put together. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

impressed by the really interesting flavours of the dishes here! would recommend trying the fried ice & banana, as well as the smoked, squid & citrus. restaurant also had a very relaxing and chill environment, with nice and friendly staff.

The linguine bolognese was very enjoyable, with a generous amount of minced pork and a rich, flavourful sauce that coated the pasta well. The fish and chips were equally impressive — the fish was fresh, crispy, and fragrant, pairing perfectly with the fries. The churros were absolutely delicious, perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They were coated in warm cinnamon sugar that wasn’t overly sweet, making them very satisfying to eat. The ice cream complemented the churros beautifully, adding a creamy and refreshing contrast to the warm pastry. The peach tea was also a lovely addition — light, refreshing, and subtly sweet, which balanced the richness of the dishes nicely. Overall, the staff were friendly, the ambience was pleasant, and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place!

Very clean interior. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious and innovation. I especially enjoyed the Fried Ice Cream and Banana Cake. The warm banana walnut cake was slightly burned for the crispy texture and the charred taste which adds layers to the flavours. The coconut ice cream was fried to a delicious crisp and the coconut taste was very distinctive. I also ordered the Lasagna Verde and enjoyed the burrata on the side very much. I love the fillings; three types of mushrooms, baby spinach, herbs, cheddar & mozzarella. Every ingredient blended well together for flavours and aesthetic.

Restaurant had a lovely ambience, great for catching up with friends. Very interesting Hainanese-fusion dishes that all tasted perfectly crafted!

Quaint cafe that blends both Hainanese and Western cuisine. Portions are big and vibes are immaculate!

went on a tuesday afternoon and it was not really crowded. i ordered their double gnocchi from the lunch menu. the gnocchi was really nice and chewy. the mushroom sauce was tasty and the portion was just right, I finished it all! the place was chill and the staff were hospitable. the place is very near the bus stop too so its very accessible!

Had a good dinner at Yeast Side @ lyf farrer park. The food was beyond expectations, very delicious and fluffy pizza dough, the mentaiko mac and cheese was very flavourful as well and the drinks are highly recommended! We got the lychee pandan drink and the lychee tea which were both very good 👍🏻 Did not try the craft beer as I was driving, but an impressive wall of flavours they had! Will try it next visit.
