Had a great experience at House Chundam. We sat at the bar, and the banchan was already set up and even refillable, which was super convenient. The staff grilled the meat for us, and it came out perfectly cooked with amazing flavour. We also tried the kimchi cheese goen and it is really tasty with just the right amount of spice.
I ordered the dry Supreme Prawn Noodle from Zhup Zhup and was honestly impressed by how flavourful it turned out, even though it looked pretty simple at first glance. The noodles were springy and well-tossed in a savoury sauce, and the soup was packed with a generous amount of seafood and incredibly rich in umami. It added so much depth to the whole meal and tied everything together beautifully.
Went to Salmon Warrior and got the Salmon Mentai Don and Ultimate Salmon Maki. Both dishes were generous and filling. The Salmon Mentai Don had a good balance of flavours, with the mentai being tasty but not too overwhelming. The veggies on the side added a nice crunch and made it feel a bit healthier. As for the Ultimate Salmon Maki, it's packed with flavour and a great choice if you're looking for an extra side to share and complement your main dish. Plus, the staff were nice and friendly, which always makes for a better experience.
Stepping into the restaurant, the place immediately gave off a very atas yet cosy vibe β modern interior but still felt intimate and relaxed, like a place where you can enjoy good food without feeling too stiff or formal. Really love the ambience!
We had the 8-course meal and wah, every dish was beautifully plated and thoughtfully explained. A big shoutout to our server Fish β such a friendly, lovely person who really made our experience extra special. From walking us through each dish during the intro, to changing our plates between courses so the flavours donβt clash, to simply being so passionate about the food β it really showed in the service. Felt very well taken care of.
Best part? We were seated right in front of the prep station, so we got a front-row view of how every dish was plated. Each dish was like a little work of art, so beautifully plated. It was also amazing to see the chefs in action and the effort that went into each course. The chefs also took the time to name and explain each dish as they served, which made the experience even more personal.
Food-wise, the oysters were so fresh, and the 16 Days Dry Aged Kingfish Loin with Green Goddess was a winner β both the salted and sauced versions were spot on. Each bite was clean, fresh, and packed with flavour. But the real MVP? The Jumbo Tiger Prawns. So big, so fresh, so juicy β would definitely come back just for these three dishes again!
Thank you One Prawn & Co team for such a memorable dinner β good food, good vibes, great people.
