I have tried Lamma Island and Lei Yue Mun and the feel of Sai Kung is different especially if you get seasick travelling by boat. 1Hr from kowloon TST. Wide variety of seafood, fresh of course. Prices are fairly touristy, so don't expect a cheap meal if you want quality.
Less travelled and not a big tourist destination as there are no places to park big coaches. Drop by for the korean version of Tsujiki Fish Market. Smaller in scale and different seafood but absolutely fresh and succulent seafood. Must try, Sole fish sashimi, live octopus, abalone (grilled), giant scallops, oysters, prawns
What can I say. No longer a best kept secret. Queue can be easily 30mins and above at dinner-time. Great value and taste for the price and food rivals the top thai restaurants. Must try, Tom-Yum Gong, Mince Pork with Basil Leaves
Heard abt this burger joint for awhile and finally tried it. Fresh patties, fresh buns, fresh vegs. It all makes a difference. All for USD 2.99. You will never have a craving for McD or BK again
Found an authentic Italian restaurant near home. Great pizzas, pasta and nice humble selection of wines
盆菜, also known as "Basin Dish" originated from the olden days where the villagers and townfolks did not have much delicacies to cook for the New Year. Everybody simply chipped in their share and the 盆菜 simple became a mix and match of whatever was "thrown in". In today's context, many restaurants and chinese use dried seafood such as Oysters, Scallops, Abalone, Fish Maw other delicacies such as Roasted Meats, Shrimps etc
Phö nicely flavoured unlike some of those local joints which water down the soup based.
