This joint is shared with One Man Coffee, but they were closed. So, settled for pizza night instead and it didn’t disappoint. The pizzas were thin crust. We ordered the Australian Ham and Hawaiian. They were so good we ordered another round. With 1-1, we paid about $57 for 4 of 9-inch pizzas (5 pax) including 2 drinks. There’s outdoor seatings if u prefer to chill with your cocktail/beer.
This is a bistro joint at night and is opposite the Fire Station on the outside of Funan. For $11.99 with Burpple 1-1, this place is a steal. I ordered Teriyaki Chicken and Tofu. The food is simple yet tasty. Size is just right, and even comes with miso soup. As we went for lunch, we didn’t take any drinks. But according to serving staff, the place is usually packed with drinking crowd in the evening.
This outlet serves Taiwan cuisine. With 1-1 set, for $18.30nett, I ordered a main dish (sesame chicken), a snack (8 pcs of chicken wing) and a drink (I chose bbt, but they ran out of jasmine tea). All under $10/pax. Decent food, a little slow in service. There were three staff working non-stop. As the snack arrived after the main dish, was too full to finish so I packed the balance 6 wings home. The sesame chicken came in a small claypot and had the right texture. Overall, a small setup with reasonable price.
Had a hard time reaching them on the phone for an order of the full cake. But managed to finally after calling for two days. Using the Burpple app, one full cake is $52, with $20% discount. The cake didn’t have to be chilled when we ate it 1.5 hours after pickup. Good deal for MSW and looked good as a present for a birthday cake. The restaurant we ate, helped put it on a bigger plate and made it look more grand for the occasion.
Beer battered fish and chips is the best amongst the 5 dishes we ordered. It has the right texture and crisp. The signature burger is good too. Do not order the ribeye nor waffle. The ribeye was meant to be medium rare but was too cooked and the waffle took 1.5 hours to arrive. I think the kitchen mixed up our order or could not handle the crowd. The rest of us finished the meal then it arrived. We had the 1-1 basic set @$20 and 1-1 steak set @$39.90. Total bill for 5 is $91 - quite decent as it includes drinks and you can choose 2 glasses of house pour wine.
It’s resided on the ground floor of Catholic Centre. Ordered 4 dishes - Miso Pulled Pork and Achar Burger, Franciscan Burger, Chilli Crab Spagehetti with Soft Shell Crab and Good Shepard’s Pie all only at $39.55 using 1-1 deals. It averages out to be $10/pax and it’s well worth the price. As a social enterprise, the service was great and the support from the crowd is quite good with a steady stream of customers coming in every 15 mins or so. Out of the four dishes, the Miso Pulled Pork and the Chilli Crab came out tops. The Pulled Pork was just nice with the right layer of fat and not too oily. Japanese and Peranakan cuisine all in a burger - this fusion is definitely not overbearing. Go support our very own Social Enterprise!
This is a hidden gem in the Industrial Park. Had difficulty locating Blk C initially. Went for the bacon burger with 1-1 deal and it blew me away. Look at the cheese oozing out, it was really good. Was a big burger with generous serving of fries. $17.50 was a steal!
There’s a 1-1 promo by the shop for 8pcs original wings at $10.95. The BBQ flavour and Soy Garlic tasted about the same. Ordered another chicken quesadilla 1-1 spice level #1, just nice at $8.95. Takeaway made the wings a little cold. Will try for sit-in and their burgers the next time .
My second time back cuz the lobster is SUPER chunky and SUPER yummy. Bought 2 extra packets of cassava chips and at $1.50/pkt, it’s really worth it too! Go for it if you haven’t tried before.
Wanted to try their buffet as heard that the meat is yummy. Forgot that due to covid there’s no buffet allowed islandwide. Settled with main dish 1-1 instead. Paid $68 for trout fillet, half spring chicken and prawn pesto pizza. We finished up everything on the dish. Worth to try and will definitely be back to try their meat in future.
Wow! The variety was crazy and I went ga-ga. Couldn’t stop trying and deciding which is best. In the end, went for 1-1 Salted Macademia and Peppermint Crunch milkshake at $8.50. Thick and yummy, ignore the calories! See pix, I finished the last bit of the Peppermint Crunch.
Tucked in a quiet corner. The meal comes with a drink. 1-1 deal, $21.30 so it was well worth it. Although uni and portion was small but enough for a small eater.
