Teochew Chendul [3.20RM • S$1.05] Ordering is fuss free, just let them know what you’d like and if you want to exclude/add on any toppings. Though not exceptional, it was still quite a nice dessert to slurp down in the heat. We enjoyed the lightly sweetened kidney beans but would have liked more ice and gula melaka. Famous Teochew Chendol There may be a long queue but it moves really fast. I like that the serving is small enough to not let you feel too full, and still allow you to go for more food. The bowl of goodness goes well together especially how the mung bean jelly is so smooth. You can stand around to eat your chendol or enter the seating area (there are many seats inside. You just need to check with the hawker). Personally, I still prefer the Malacca chendol cos their gula melaka is much thicker and more fragrant. Cost: RM3/bowl

Teochew chendol RM4. This is the best chendol I’ve ever tasted in my life. It’s ice blended with the right amount of syrup and creamer. You will never forget this chendol stall.

Duck Egg CKT One of the most famous and best CKT in Penang has to be this! You have the option of topping up for duck eggs which makes the CKT more aromatic and creamier. It's something you can't find in SG cos AVA doesn't allow sales of duck eggs. If you like spicy, the spiciness at Ah Leng can be a little disappointing cos there is no spicy kick. But on the brighter note, it allows you to taste more of the original. Cost: RM8.50 + RM1 (Duck egg)

Whilst waiting for our plates of char koay teow, I read that the same place serves really good roast pork. Ordered a plate to share. It’s really good, my only gripe was I found it a tad pricey. RM25 for a small plate but I guess that’s either inflation or Uncle figured I am not local. The char siu was only so-so, so just stick to the roast pork.

When it’s so good that your family refuses to share some with you. So order your own plate or for some, two plates! Since Siam Road Uncle has retired, we were wondering where to spend our calories. Ah Leng didn’t disappoint. We ordered the usual RM8.50 plate and found the prawns to be really large, good and fresh and I like the texture of the noodles.

Artisan Coffee It’s spacious and has an industrial cozy vibe. Everything is pretty much self service here, from ordering to collection of food and drinks. Wifi is available but it disconnects sometimes unfortunately. The place is dimly lit so best time get some reading done would be daytime where there’s more lights coming in.

Red Latte (RM11.65) If you're looking to replace coffee, try the red latte. It's made from coffeemaker brewed rooibos tea which is naturally caffeine free and has an earthy flavour. Some say it even tastes like teh tarik if you add sugar.

Flat White (RM11.65) The barista recommended a flat white as it's their signature drink. It wasn't a wow, but pretty swan in my cup. Rather stick with a cappuccino.

Sumptuous breakfast Was there yesterday morning, ordered a All-Day Breakfast, it was delicious! Together with a nice aroma cuppucino, per pax cost RM40++, pricey? You decide. But overall great and speedy service.

Big Breakfast Breakfast for dinner! Had the sausage changed to baked beans as I was just tired of sausages. Everything was good on this plate! Generous portions at decent prices. Cakes looked really good too, but we were stuffed. Will probably be back here again soon!

Banana Pancakes w/ Butterscotch Sauce (RM20). Thick fluffy pancakes with a side of fruit salad and sweet thick butterscotch sauce.
