A little bit sweet but still so so good 😢. Not too crumbly, strong but not overpowering buttery taste, the egg mixture was flawless 💁‍♀️. For the price, hmm, okaylah, worth it lah... but I think the minimum four pieces per customer condition is a bit unnecessary ( though I wouldnt mind having more 😝). Anyone knows anywhere else to get good egg tarts?

I mean Cake Spade" This is my must go place whenever I'm in the area for work. Aside from being very instagrammable, they serve up a good variety of cakes. You won't get revolutionary flavours here but simple flavours when done right, will almost never disappoint. Personal favourite: Tofu Cheesecakes - it makes you feel less guilty and since its lighter than the usual cheesecakes, go and have another piece, you deserve it 😜. For those who claim to have another stomach for desserts, go for the chocolate varieties, they're sinfully rich and sweet. While I still stand firm in the belief that no soon kuehs in the world can beat my belated grand-aunt's Sarawakian "Chai Kuih" (opaque skin and similiar ingredients but tastes out of this world!), this stall is still really worth a visit! If you are more adventurous, their avant-garde beetroot soon kueh is one of the selections to go for!
Another plus point about their kuehs are that they are just rightly seasoned so you get to taste the natural sweetness and freshness from all the ingredients. A tip: DM @onekueh_at_atime at least a day before dropping by to pre-order or you might go home disappointed because that's how fast they sell out! 😉

Verdict: Not very sweet and naturally refreshing so its the perfect heat-relief when you feel like getting naughty but healthy on a hot hot midday! The wafer smelled heavenly in the shop but tastes like wafer lor...I wouldn't mind having this more often if not for the price 😝, I'll just stick to my weekly ice-cream wafers on wheels for now.

Got to taste this thanks to Coreen from Village Hotel Changi! A bit too far from where my place is but definitely a must-go in the area 😊. In the pic is their nasi lemak A (Fried 🐓, 🍳 and anchovies for $3.50) with begedil and beef rendang.
Verdict: Wings are crispy but can be better seasoned, the begedil ( a local version of croquette) was to die for and the rendang reminds me of a good beef stew ( odd right, but damn syiok 😂). The rest of the components are good too but I would say the freshly fried begedil ($0.50 each) and beef rendang ($2.50 for a huge chunk) stole the show while the rest did well as supporting characters.

The sweetness of the ondeh-ondeh was mellowed down by the hint of tartness from the milk tea. I was initially worried that it would be a diabetes combo but it turned out perfect. $9 well-spent! They're currently having a $9 promo for a slice of cake + tea/coffee/T.I.Tea but since I can't find the location on Insta you would have to wait till next week when I disclose the location on my company's FB page or go and explore yourself 😜😜😜
