Applicable for Burpple 1 for 1

Single scoop for $4.20
3⭐️/5 Hazelnut- premium +$1
Hazelnut ice cream is quite strong (which is good). Not too sweet and quite tasty. Will recommend to order this if you do not like more of a funky flavour as its quite a safe option.
3⭐️/5 Sea Salt Gula Jawa (palm sugar)
It was overly too salty for me as it felt like the sea salt covers entirely of the sweetness from Gula Jawa.
It felt like the ice cream is not mixed well enough, can feel a little powder aftertaste.

($26.90) Eligible for Burpple 1-for-1
The salmon skin is very crispy and blends in quite well with their lemon cream sauce.
The side dish contains mash potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
The mash potato is well infused with a decent truffle oil (I think?)and it is not bad.
As for the seasonal vegetables, it was okay. Only liked the broccoli cause of the garlic sauce absorb in it.
I only wish that the salmon is bigger, the portion is small.

YC Smokey Baby Back Ribs
($25.90 before gst)- Eligible for burpple 1-for-1
Baby Back Ribs is served with fries and salad.
The ribs is a WOW (bias opinion from a rib lover). Flavours and texture on point, will give 5 stars if it is a little more tender but still good.
The fries is thin cut, well seasoned and very crispy.
Aside for the taste the portion is very generous with the given price.

Blueberry Lychee Milkshake (Can’t remember the exact name, Not in photo)
($7 before gst)- NOT Eligible for burpple 1-for-1
Too sweet for my liking and had to get a ice water after drinking this. Portion is small as well. Go for their alcoholic drinks instead.

($19) Eligible for Burpple 1-for-1
Duck was tender but quite dry and the skin is crispy.
As for the sides there were potato rosti and garden vegetables.
The rosti goes really well with the sauce. Taste like a very good hashbrown poutine.
The garden vegetables consist of celeries, carrots, zucchini, cauliflower and broccoli. Vegetables are good except for the carrot which is towards the hard side.
Overall, the dish was okay and would be better if it was served with more sauce.

($18) Eligible for Burpple 1-for-1
Love the Alfredo pasta.
I have higher expectations for alfredo/carbonara dishes and many restaurants made the pasta to be very ‘Jelak’ and overpowering of cream.
Sauce is good probably because the cream is finely blend with cashew nuts.
They are very generous with the amount of chicken placed in the dish.
Cream Based Pasta Peeps, Try this out.

($22) Eligible for Burpple 1-for-1
One of the better Fish & Chips made.
The portion is huge with 2 large pieces of deep fried red snapper. Batter goes really well with the tartar sauce.
The fries is well seasoned and addictive.
Unsure what to order? Just go for the fish & chips!

Baked Lion Mane Cheesy Patty Curry Don
Can be use for burpple 1-for-1
($17.90 before gst & sc)
This baked rice is served with some deep fried mock meat which taste exactly like fish fillet from Nasi Lemak store. This is really surprising as they can imitate the fillet and with an extra crispiness.
The curry sauce contains a few pieces of potato and carrot only and it does not soak the rice fully. Curry was quite normal.
I would give this a higher rating if there is more curry, potato and carrot.

Vegan Black Truffle Orh Luak
CANNOT be use for burpple 1-for-1
($14.50 before gst & sc)
(Not in picture)
The egg was replaced with tofu & seaweed and the oyster is replaced with mushroom.
Truffle smell/taste is not that strong and the portion is large which is good for sharing.
Ordered:
-Pumpkin soup with marinated beef shank noodle
($13.90)
-Tomato soup with vinaigrette ebiko prawn paste noodle
($12.90)
(Burpple 1 for 1 for the above main dishes only)
Menu is changed and all main dishes can be used for burpple beyond
-Top up $3.90(excluding gst) for one set meal:
Barley water and Tofu with century egg
Total Damage: $20.95 after gst
4⭐️/5
Pumpkin soup with marinated beef shank noodle
Pumpkin soup is milky and savoury with some wolf berries added. Not much of a pumpkin flavour but I think it adds up similar to a collagen soup. This dish is served with beef shank and broccoli. The beef shank is marinated and very flavourful. Would definitely enjoy the hearty dish in a cold weather.
3.5⭐️/5
Tomato soup with vinaigrette ebiko prawn paste noodle
The tomato soup has a tangy sour flavour that reminds me of Haidilao hotpot soup and it is quite thick. However, it might be too overpowering of a tomato flavour while eating overtime. This dish has vinaigrette ebiko prawn paste, a half hanjuku egg, green peas and a few bits of corns. I like how the vinaigrette ebiko prawn paste too be soft and a popping texture because of the ebiko. Both the prawn paste and hanjuku egg elevates the dish making it to be wholesome. It might be better if the soup is less thicker.
4.5⭐️/5
Tofu with century egg
(Small dish shown at the top of the noodles)
This side dish is quite simple yet appetising. Tofu with century egg is cold and drench with chilli oil (a hint of mala feels in the chilli). Taste good even for not a good spice tolerant eater. Must have.
?⭐️
Barley is just homemade barley without barley bits, nothing special.
I have came to Eventasty a number of times. I prefer the older menu as we can customise the soup, noodles and ingredients. It is a comfort meal that tempt me to visit whenever I go Funan mall. Customer service is good. Recommended 👍
Ordered:
-Omni Golden Fish and Chips ($16++)
-Omni Miso Glazed Classic Fillet ($16++)
-Avocado Maple Oat Milk ($8++)
-Green Forest ($8++)
Total bill with GST and service charge after Burpple 1 for 1 discount for mains & drinks: $28.25
3⭐️/5
Omni Golden Fish and Chips:
Fish and Chips comes with smash peas and fries.
For the mock fish, I feel this is the closest it can get compared to a real fish. The fish is a little firm and the batter is nice and crispy. It taste like a simple battered fish, lightly salted. This fish goes well with the lemon and tartar sauce.
Fries is just normal fries.
As for smash peas, it is nicely mash with a hint of spice.
3⭐️/5
Omni Miso Glazed Classic Fillet:
Miso Glazed Classic fillet Is served with Roasted Baby Romaine and Long beans.
The fish feels like the same as the fish and chips except it is slightly more flavourful. I can’t taste the miso flavour probably because it is slightly glazed.
Side vegetables (Roasted Baby Romaine and Long beans) adds on a nice crunchy texture.
The portion is much smaller as there are only 2 fillets compared to the fish & chips which have 3 fillets.
2.5⭐️/5
Avocado Maple Oat Milk (green drink on the left):
Very sweet because of the maple syrup. Recommended for those with sweet tooth.
2.5⭐️/5
Green Forest (right drink):
It contains rock melon and green apple. I don’t think it contains any syrup, just the juice only.
Overall, the mock fillets are quite good and it really resembles the real fish fillets except for the non flakiness texture. The food is somewhat towards the expensive side (if without burpple beyond) and I think the portion could be larger. Otherwise, I would recommend this restaurant to my vegetarian friends.
Used Burpple Beyond for the Egg Pate and Shredded Chicken Banh Mi non spicy order (Forgotten to take photo, haha).
Both Banh Mi is very crispy and it resembles like a baguette, not soggy at all.
3.5⭐️/5
Egg Pate Band Mi (Damage:$5)
The egg is fried and no runny yolk but it was served with pate (Meat Paste), corianders, lettuces , tomatoes and some kind of sweet chilli sauce which really surprisingly goes well with the egg.
3.5⭐️/5
Shredded Chicken Banh Mi (Damage: $5.50)
The chicken is served dry and shredded with a orange mayo sauce which I think is a sriracha mayo? The taste reminds me of the mayo chicken from Delifrance but a charred and reduced mayo version. This Banh Mi was also stuffed with corianders, lettuces and tomatoes.
Overall, this is Not the Break a Bank delicious kind of food to enjoy and the portion is like alot (around 6 inch/ half foot long). Totally worth it even without the 1 for 1.
3.5⭐️/5
Bolognese with dragon fruit pasta. ($19.90 for the Full portion, able to use burpple beyond for the Tasting portion and top up extra for the Full portion)
Full portion is like a regular pasta size.
Beef Bolognese comes with mince beef. There is a good mouthful of mince beef which adds on to a very nice texture in every bite.
The sauce tasted a little sour because of the tomatoes and salty because of the cheese? Good balance of flavours.
There is a choice of flavoured infused pasta. The dragon fruit pasta is a new flavour (I think…) and is shaped like a spaghetti. The pasta does not have a taste of the dragon fruit flavour and is cook till al dente.
This dish is quite worth it due to the amount of beef added to the pasta. I think the Beef Bolognese is one of the better ones compared to other places I visited but I would prefer it to be a little sweet.
4⭐️/5
Carbonara with squid ink pasta. ($18.90 for the Full portion, able to use burpple beyond for the Tasting portion and top up extra for the Full portion)
Full portion is like a regular pasta size.
Carbonara comes with bacon and a sous vide egg.
The sauce tasted like an egg sauce with less/no cream but is different from the classic carbonara which is contains only egg yolk, oil and cheese due to a much watery texture (Don’t get me wrong. Watery in a good way, not too ‘jelak’ but still flavourful. Similar to a breakfast set half boiled egg texture).
There is a choice of flavoured infused pasta. The squid ink pasta has a linguine shaped and texture. The pasta does not have a squid ink flavour and was cooked till al dente.
This dish is really special and has a more ‘atas’ feel to it. Overall, the carbonara is a dish worth trying. Quite tasty.
