The premium freshly brewed coffee here has a very strong nutty flavour for those who like dark roasted beans with bold flavours. The crema is so pretty to look at! 😍
Beautifully torched just before serving! The piping hot, thick and creamy mentaiko sauce over crispy fried gyoza was just heavenly!! I had to resist the urge to lick every last drop of mentaiko cream on the plate!! Ordered and tried their home brewed Yuzu sake as well ($18/bottle). Really smooth and slightly sweet sake with distinctive fruity yuzu flavor was easy and pleasant to drink.
(Over)ordered at soup spoon, trying out for the first time the Salmon miso jjigae with a side of quinoa salad. Great japanese miso flavours. So much ingredients in the soup I was already full after drinking the the soup! They were really generous with the salmon chunks! Not so much of korean stew taste, maybe the straw mushrooms? 😅 Quinoa salad was a refreshing match to the hearty salmon soup! Crunchy quinoa with fresh veges and edamame beans! 😍
Back to Hana the second time for their Kaiseki set again! Soaking in the great ambience and enjoying the freshest and sweetest sashimis! It's great that they had slight variations in their weekday and weekend kaiseki sets so I got to try different types of sushis. Totally loved the aburi whelk sushi! (My first time trying it and now definitely gonna order it often.)
Cannot take photo for too long because we have to eat it piping hot!!!! Hot and crispy pancake served with thick and rich sweet potato puree and matcha sauce. All these top with vanilla ice cream. That combination of hot and cold, sweet and savoury! 😍 It was so worth the 1 hour wait!!
After trying all 3 new breakfast sandwiches, this is my favourite!! It's not too salty and tasted really healthy! There are 2 large pieces of chicken breasts, grilled mushrooms and a perfectly cooked spinach egg! Great way to kickstart a lazy Sunday!
It's not often we get Snaffles here at Jurong Point! So to satisfy my sweets craving after dinner.... Matcha soft serve!
$5.90 Tea time set for a Danish + great coffee. Swiss blend coffee was well-balanced while their americano was a little too acidic. So enjoying my warm and crisp danish but back to reality tomorrow 😭
Early dinner to avoid holiday dinner crowd! $34 for a large sushi platter with premium Unajyu, Sweet prawn, Scallop sushis! I would prefer the aburi salmon nigiri if the chef hadn't added chilli sauce on top. 😕 (Created to suit local taste?) The tuna nigiri was surprisingly good because I don't have good experiences with Tuna sashimi in Singapore. Tested and proven 3 times that the sushis served are fresher and tastier if we order as a set like this, as opposed to individual sushi plates.
A warm bowl of Chawanmushi topped with fresh prawn, scallop, crab stick and a bed of huge Ikura balls! Each mouthful of smooth egg custard with juicy roes bursting in my mouth was just magical!!! Part of a 5-course Kaiseki meal at $48! With the premium ingredients and dishes served, it was definitely worth my money! Hana restaurant, The Forum.
Was quite disappointed at both dishes from the Christmas Special menu. The ravioli didn't look very appetizing, they looked limp as if they just came out of the microwave before serving. But the filling:dough ratio was just right! The basil white wine butter sauce was really fragrant and the lobster filling was quite tasty too. The pizza fell short of my expectations as well. The crust was too wet and the turkey meat were dry and hard. ): Great service though!
Generous amounts of Prawn+Salmon+Avocado on al dente pasta in rich, creamy sauce = SHIOK!
