I like the local cuisine selection in the Bistro. They have stopped the seafood hor fun with xo sauce which was much tastier than the normal version. The portion is huge and ingredients are plenty.
Whenever I come here, I always see 50% of the stalls in this food centre opened. Doesn't matter if it's lunch hour or dinner time. It's never fully operational. This char kway teow dish ($3) is really not bad.

Always spot a long queue at this stall. The roast meat here is nice.

Simple dish and it was rather good. This was from Yong Kee Roast stall.
Delicious fried rice with prawns, cha siew and turnip ($11.50).
Mayim is a good place in the north for roast duck and chicken. The portion is generous. At $9.50, this roast duck dry noodles was a satisfying meal.
My top 3 spot for local desserts. Chendol ($2.80) and gula melaka ice kachang ($2.50) are two of my favourite items here.
Thick soup that tasted bitter to me, I wasn't impressed by the flavour of this miso tonkotsu. At $14.80, it's fairly priced but it's not on my top 5 list.
Standard has dropped at Soon Lee stall. Cockles have shrunk and the dish is not as tasty as it used to be.
Used to wait in line for the long queue at Ye Lai Xiang for the Cheng Tng and ordered special at $3. Ever since the owner passed away, the quality has dropped significantly. Ingredients have been reduced and this once-great dessert stall shall go down the drain with this younger generation.
This was tastier than I expected. $4 a plate.
Part of the SG50 special menu, this was spicy and good. However, I didn't like the crab cakes that were just processed flour. Available for limited period till end August 2015.
