We were starving by the time the plane landed and the first thing we saw at the domestic airport was Mos Burger.
It's been a long time since I visited Mos Burger in Singapore so I'm not sure if we have this back home. It's beef burger with cheese, mayonnaise and onion. The bun is hot and really soft!
We bought two kinds of sandwiches, one katsu and the other one ham & egg. The interesting thing about Blossom & Bouquet is that they sell fruit sandwiches πππ! I'm hoping to try some of them when I get back to Tokyo.
π Found this Belgian waffle stall called MR.waffle, selling all things waffle (obviously)! I tried top favourite flavour Maple and one Apple. Both cost 180Yen each. They even come with re-heating instruction. Pop them in for 1 minute in the microwave to get warm and crispy waffle!
This shop specialises in takoyaki. The balls come in many flavours and this one with cod roe seems like one of the popular ones.
Hence, we found one of the restaurants that appealed to us around the area.
Yakiniku House Joan caught our eyes, especially with their 920Yen set meals! The sets come with soup, salad, rice, appetisers (like those you find at Korean restaurants) and iced green tea. Very satisfying!
Just one more picture from dinner with my mum's side before I fly off! At my mum's current favourite restaurant, Moi Lum, for some traditional Cantonese cuisine. The total came up to $678.90! Nice number π
It's really very pretty! Anyway I'm flying off tonight and the next time I Instagram it will be from Tokyo! π―π΅
This comes with honeycomb, butterscotch and vanilla ice cream. Consider yourselves warned!
The chendol ($3) for me is a bit on the pricey side for such a small bowl. Overall it is actually ok but jelly also could be softer. Sorry but Jin Jin Dessert's chendol at ABC Brickworks Market is still the best.
Island Penang Kitchen is located at Clementi West St 2, just behind the Community Centre. Prices are really affordable and taste is authentic! So far everything we tried today hit the mark. Will definitely be back, probably during the day so I can get better lighting.
It has a name! Peater! And apparently Peater has a girlfriend called Penelopea (well, just for this holiday season). β Penelopea is a green pea cookie with cranberries, a new addition just for Christmas! π² It is now available for sale online. And just for my readers only, quote 'JENXPEATER' at checkout to enjoy a storewide 15% discount. The discount code is available from now till 30 November 2015!
We had the Sliced Fish Congee ($7.50), Tossed Noodles with Beef Brisket ($9) and Tossed Noodles with Prawns & Dried Shrimp Roe ($16.20). I loved the smoothness of the porridge and the springy texture of the noodles. I think the noodles would have tasted even better in the soup version. The prawn one was a bit overpriced. Keeping it short and simple π.
