The Nasi Penyet was good and the sambal, which is a combination of spicy and sour (as compared to sweet Malaysian sambal) was up to my expectation. However, the service became poor due to the lack of staffs & handling the restaurant despite their efforts to be as polite as possible. My food arrived after an hour due because they prepared the wrong dish. Having very extreme & mixed feelings about this place.
To be honest, the bagel is ok on it's own. However, the color does nothing to add on to the taste of it, but at least it doesn't negatively affect the taste either. Quite filling, definitely enough for a small eater (with coffee) if the aim is a light brunch or for tea time. Priced at RM 10.9, I think it's a one-time thingy. Those colors are really pretty btw :)
I think this pie is pretty awesome.
The filling was hot, soupy and rich in flavor, the kind of food you want on a lazy rainy day. Eaten together with the thin crispy piece of crust, yummylicious!
Lor Mee is a Chinese noodle dish, consisting of thick flat yellow noodles in starchy gravy cooked with eggs, meat and veggie. It has always been my comfort food when I needed something simple and delicious. To suit my personal taste, I love adding vinegar into the bowl of hot soupy goodness. Portion was pretty generous here, and it only costs RM 6.9, which is a reasonable deal to me.
The newest cafe in Cheras that serves interesting pasta, decent coffee and good customer service. A comfortable hideout with music playing in the background. Flat white was only RM9, a pretty good deal 👌
Going cray for The Sawadi-Crab Burger!
The soft shell crab was slightly crispy, yet I could still bite chunks of crab meat! Eaten together with the thai mayo and refreshing mango bits, foodgasm in the mouth!
As a Malaysian, I'm so used to Nyonya Laksa that it rarely surprises me. However, the soup (so thick and rich I can almost call it sauce) is just addicitive! Eaten together with prawns, fish cakes, cockles, soft fried tofu (My favorite!) and cucumber slices, it's simply delicious. Priced at RM 7.50, pretty cheap for something SO tasty in Bangsar area.
I was craving for cake, and I wanted something light and refreshing. The barista recommended me this cake called Fresh Fruits, and it really didn't disappoint at all! In between layers of soft sponge cake, is pieces of mango. On top of the cake is some grape and kiwi. It's only RM 9 btw. Definitely worth a try 👌
Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, this Belgium waffle will not dissapoint. Served with 3 scoops of ice cream of your choice (I had Earl Grey, YUMMY!), there's more than enough ice cream for each bite :)
Love the lime cheesecake! Wasn't too cheesey, could have eaten two pieces if I wasn't feeling so full after a buffet lunch because it's that yummy! Chocolate cookies were rich, nicely done and not pricy at all. Coffee was done alright too 👌 Overall dining experience: Fab :)
The overall experience is the highlight of my visit. The spaghetti cooked with anchovy paste is pretty interesting to me. However, the bruschetta is a little disappointing for me because there was nothing other than tomato or mushroom on it. They have bruschetta on the normal menu and the veggie menu, but if the one on the normal menu has no meat on it, why put on both menu with different names(if I'm not mistaken)? Slightly pricier, since it's fine dining-ish, but I think other dishes would be a better choice than the bruschetta.
The pastry was pretty good, pricing was decent. However, the drinks were disappointing.
