Meet their offspring: Creme Brรปlรฉe French toast with nutty pistachio ice-cream, caramel popcorns, fresh berries. Not sure if iโve aged or this is too sweet ๐ The first few bites were delectable and heavenly but quickly became too sweet to finish. They nailed the cafe ambience though and hence I will be back to try other stuff on their menu.
๐ต The chilli is unforgivingly potent! And the Ayam Goreng is very well-marinated with Malay spices and crispy, quite unlike the other types found in other Nasi lemak stalls. The coconut rice itself was lemak and fragrant. $6
Could only remembered it was one really stinging hot neck.
One does not go to Common Man Stan but donโt order the coffee. This fast brew ($6) is light-bodied, with hints of chocolate and tart notes. This is already very good on its own without adding any sugar or creamer.
Possibly the only pulled pork burger that pulled it off for me. The ones I had before were too dry but this one is so flavourful and tender. Filling out the fluffy brioche buns, layered with melted cheese, coleslaw, mustard, chipotle aioli sauce, the pork shoulder meat filling is moist, tasty and has a satisfying tender bulk. The price to pay is that it can get quite salty towards the end. Best for sharing. $20.
You havenโt had a real quail egg until you have this. The egg was smooth with a semi-molten yolk within that bursts into a warm, smoky and creamy bite.
For me, there was a reminiscence of a light chocolate coffee taste. Caviar was all right and I am not really sure of its role over here but Iโm sure it contributed to the price of $15 per egg.
Rich, milky, yet does not taste overly sweet ๐๐ป
But according to the people there, it is same as Jia Xiang. Just that the name has changed. A bite into the Nasi lemak confirmed that it is indeed the same as Jia Xiang. The gorgeous blue pea rice, the fragrant and tender rendang chicken, the runny eggs and the sweet sambal chilli.. they added mushrooms this time round.
fell in love with a new taste combination - green apple chrysanthemum jelly.. the tartness of green apple is matches very well with the delicate floral taste of the chrysanthemum. The thin strawberry slices added a dose of sweetness. A refreshing and cooling way to end a good dim sum meal //$6
This off-the-menu fried carrot cake in XO sauce is delectable and the radish cubes packs a good punch of wok hei and spice // $12
