Thoroughly enjoyed the Tom Yum Soup & Dried Scallop soup bases that we tried. 🤤 Not forgetting the super addictive deep fried kway teow ($2). More on that soon in my upcoming post!
Enjoyed the kampong chicken rice. Meat was springy, succulent and wonderful. I will be back again.
At the new Tanjong Pagar Centre is this bustling Azuma Sushi on level 2. Ordered the Negitoro Don ($14.80) - tuna belly! It came in very a generous portion and savoured every bite. Yum :) Lunch time crowds are already there at 12, we came at 12:15pm and waited about half an hour for a seating of 5.
There's a couple of detailed reviews on this Omakase so I shall keep it short and sweet. Basically, you just want to stop whatever you're doing and just savour the goodness of every bite. No extra soy sauce is needed, because the chef pairs the right sauce that goes with each individual sushi. It's really heaven in your mouth! Went there during weekday lunch and we didn't need to wait (for now). Quick note: limited to only 18 sets a day during lunch time. There's only 9 seats.
Yummy pizza which we all could tell that fresh ingredients were used!! Soooo excellent to the very last bite. We ordered another portion after this!
Pizza is universal comfort food, and is always a family-pleaser. California Pizza Kitchen now boasts a revamped menu and improved pizza crust - the artisanal dough is now hand-stretched, yielding a lighter, rustic crust. Those who prefer a higher topping to crust ratio will want to opt for the thin crust! If you like your pizza with original flavours, try the original BBQ Chicken Pizza. For something more classic, go for the Meatballs Pizza, topped with traditional house-made meatballs in Pomodoro sauce. For variety, you may want to order the Roasted Duck Salad, or the Spaghetti Arrabbiata. Something for everyone!
