Very unique compared to the standard Singapore wanton noodles because of its generous light coloured salty gravy topped after noodles are blanched

Despite being sweet, it doesn't taste unhealthy...if you know what I mean and which is one of the reasons why I eat less char kuay teow in general

Even though they don't serve $2 ckt anymore although that's one of the reasons they got quite a bit of news PR in the past...I think it's fair. $2 food in tiong bahru would be way much of a steal. $3 with hum and all the liao is good value!

One of the few stalls with a 15-min wait queue on a Sunday afternoon, so it's doing something right.

Comes with deshelled prawns + yellow noodles, thin bee hoon or mixed. Downer for me because don't have the thick bee hoon that I favour.
Soup was really sweet-tasty, may not be everyone's cup of tea (or broth).
Comes with a side of har cheong (prawn paste) pork ribs.
At this price, as I was eating I had a conversation with my wife, is it value for money??? Conclusion was, yes if you compare with ramen. Why ramen can charge $15+++ for no liao??? BUT less value for money when you compare to hawker prawn mee la...the har cheong pork rib can't cost $7 more right? So the premium comes from Chef Kang's Michelin brand.

Another Downer - only cash accepted. For a small restaurant eatery set up, I expect more convenience.

You know 9/10 of the suckling pig today is Hong Kong "Sha pi" (sand skin) style.
It is rare to find "Liang pi" (shiny skin) style nowadays.
This was a rare find and my dad's favourite suckling pig cooking style.

What a great find! This under the radar restaurant (to us) all the way in Bedok was bustling!
Great range of teochew and hokkien dishes including luxury items like suckling pig (traditional/not Hong Kong style) @$198 and Cold Crab @ 2 for $103.
What blew me away was the 5 star attentive service that you usually don't expect from old fashioned eateries.
Definitely be back!

Stall serves up duck rice, kway chup and chicken noodles...a wide range really. They even send your order to your seat! Something rare at food centres these days.
