𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗞𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗽 ($𝟭𝟯.𝟵𝟬) 🥓🐷 Tightly rolled with plump, fatty and meaty pork belly, this huge kimbap looked exceptionally appetising. True enough, the pork belly was juicy and crispy, with the fresh veggies adding a satisfying crunch and texture to the delicious gimbap 😌 Unfortunately, some kimbap slices were more salty (maybe from soy sauce) than others, probably because of uneven seasoning. Nevertheless, this was a good addition to our meal!

The beef broth 🐮, while shiok and filled with flavour, was indeed on the sweeter side and perhaps could have been icier. 🥶 The mustard and vinegar were essential condiments that definitely elevated the dish

Honey Night If we recall correctly, Honey Night used to charge nett prices (and their website does mention no GST and SVC). However, this was not the case on their updated menu anymore! ➕➕ That being said, Honey Night did satisfy our korean food cravings and we would recommend getting their kimbap when visiting. 👍🏻🍱

Lunch Set Authentic Italian Set Lunch (S$16.90++) A choice of main between fresh pasta and hand-stretched pizza 12” Which I selected fresh pasta and for that day it was Tortellini Ricotta Verdi tossed in contemporary pink sauce. Pasta A place to go to if you were craving for some decent pasta. Ordered carbonara this time, the cream/cheese was just nice and it doesnt makes you get sick easily where you couldnt finish the dish. Taste just nice. Chicken ala Carbonara Diced chicken cooked in creamy parmesan sauce. Pasta was al dente and chicken was juicy. Overal taste good, suitable for kids too. Do take note that portion is quite big.

Squid Ink Pasta Squid ink curry pasta looks decent but delicious! May not see any chilli but it is very spicy. Nevertheless you can still taste the squid ink eventhough it is spicy. Damn good, highly recommended. Quite big portion.

Oven Baked Bone Marrow Bone marrow topped with caviar and garlic bread by the side. First time trying the caviar was a little salty. But great combination of eating the garlic bread with bone marrow.

Pizza and sweet potato This is my fav pizza which has a thin and crispy crust🍕and it is topped with lots of mushrooms! The deep fried sweet potato is also crispy and crunchy

Mac 'n' Cheese ($10) Regardless of levels of fancy, mac 'n' cheese is one of my ultimate comfort foods. For ten bucks, you get a good portion of large elbow macaroni drowning in lots of cheesy cheese sauce. It's not the best quality cheese, but it's good enough. Cheese is cheese. 🧀 Like a better version of Kraft. What was slightly strange was the slices of chicken breast meat - I see it as their way of trying to make this dish slightly healthier hehe. Polished this off quite quickly. I'd eat it again. 👍🏼 Tip: Don't get their ravioli. Nothing about it is good.

Margherita pizza from La Stalla at Essen at the Pinnacle. Enjoyed the fact that the dough is freshly made and pizzas are baked to order. The downside is the rather diluted and bland tomato paste and the use of powdered herbs which lack the necessary Italian perfume to really bring out the flavours. Bi~bim~bap! A feast of colours and tastes, we went for the Chicken Bibimbap ($14) and are pleased with the honey-sweet grilled chicken, juicy mushroom, greens and that kick from the gochunjang sauce. Warms you up from inside out. There's also tofu and beef options ($12 and $15 respectively).

Comforting tastes of Korea A month old in Thomson Plaza is the 2nd outlet of Kong Cafe. Minimalistic setting for a taste of authentic, home cooked Korean dishes - I liked my Sundubu jiggae set, which was generous with the clams & mussels + it's not too spicy. It comes with gyoza and a bowl of rice (although I feel the serving of rice fits more for petite appetites). - $12.90 dine in promo Ps. Worth visiting if you're taking the new Thomson East coast line!

Capesante Saltate | $18 Scallops with a nice dash of pesto atop. Each scallop was well executed, with a slightly charred exterior yet still being very tender. Have to say that it’s not the most affordable starter though. Rate:🌟🌟🌟

Rigatoni Gamberi E Capesante in Salsa Rosa | $28 Seafood rigatoni in pink sauce served all wrapped up in aluminium foil. Loved the pink sauce - a good amount of creaminess, tanginess, bit also spiciness which added to the flavour. The prawns and scallops were in decent portions, though it would’ve been way better if they were fresh seafood instead. That being said, the alfresco ambience and service was top notch, which made the meal even better. Rate:🌟🌟🌟🌟

LOBSTER PASTA ⭐️ LINGUINE ALL’ ARAGOSTA 🦞 ($36) … Their signature pasta: a tomato mess of Linguine, Boston lobster, capers, black olives in cherry tomato sauce with a touch of spice! 💓 atas Italian homely dish😂

CNY special sze chuan pork ribs ($48 - half slab) on the CNY 2025 menu! this was soooo fork tender and didn't have an overwhelming peppercorn taste. kind of like mala which i lovedddd

NY Berry Cheesecake ($18) this was so good!! perfect portion and was sooo rich. the almond crumble base wasn't too soft either.

fav dessert here Have probably tried all the desserts at LAVO and the Panna Cotta has got to be my favourite. It’s extremely creamy & refreshing, especially after a meal here because of the huge portions!

REOPENED ‼️SYIP (Farrer Park) was closed for 2 months for renovation, they finally reopened with new and better menu as well as a WABISABI cafe interior ✨

SPECIAL FOAM DRINKS it’s so hard to decide but must try their CHOCOLATE PISTACHIO FOAM ($7) from the drinks listing, their OSMANTHUS OOLONG MATCHA FOAM ($7) was super tempting too!

BSM HOUJICHA TIRAMISU For Desserts, Must go for their Black Sesame Houjicha Tiramisu ($12)‼️ they started from tiramisu and yes their tiramisu is still 👌💯!

Crab parpadelle ($36) 🦀 5/5 This date night favourite may not have a distinctive name but Pasta Bar sure delivers. Their $30+ pastas pack so much flavour in their delicate portions that the 2 of us didn't regret splurging on 3 pastas during our exclusive night out here. This dish was the star of the night, and could be found on everyone's bar counter. The pasta looks strikingly jaundiced but don't be put off! Its colour probably has something to do with its deeply umami flavour. This was so unique we should have ordered 3 of these.

Tagiatelle ($34) 🍝 4/5 We thought we should get a pasta with a little meat so we ordered this tagiatelle full of tender, thick clumps of pulled beef. Definitely a delight for the senses but it couldn't beat the crab.

Ciriole carbonara ($34) 🥓 4/5 We were greedy for a third so we tried the ever-safe choice of carbonara. The ciriole sure was thick and chewy and definitely lent a unique house-made dimension to this dish. The carbonara was done the authentic dry style which was satisfying with the cheese at first but got a teeny bit clumpy in the end.

Amigos - Beef was braised till soft with no tendons or fatty parts which I appreciated. - Enjoyed the brioche which soaked up the flavourful sauce, yet maintaining its integrity and surprisingly not soggy! - Sunny up was well-cooked with a slightly creamy yolk and tender whites 🍳 [8/10]

Chamwitch - Honey glazed and black forest ham could be more moist with more cheese as some bites were quite dry with the brioche 🍞 - Onion jam gave a burst of sweet savouriness. - Hashbrown was a bit over-fried and crunchy hard at the edges, would prefer it thicker. [7/10]

B.E.C ($14) B stand Bacon, E stand Egg (scrambled), C stand Cheese. I always ordered their signature sando before venturing other flavour in their menu. I felt that their ingredients was quite filling tbh but the taste was quite creamy and jelak tbh.
