Colleague ordered angus beef ribeye and kombu truffle butter as the choice of sauce. For 1-for-1 Beer (save ~$24) Nestled right in the hippiest drinking alley of Keong Saik Road lies Singabrew, the hall of one of Singapore’s best brews. Singabrew prides itself on only selling local brands, and it’s easy to understand why. Priced as low as $8.80 per bottle, we, too would easily choose an ice-cold, refreshing pint of locally-brewed craft beer over mainstream brands any day. Sounds good? Your drinks can only get better when at half price with Burpple Beyond’s 1-for-1 deal!

Lousy customer service experience when paying When you come, rmb to tell them beforehand you’re using burpple. They asked misleading questions at the start like “where did you reserve from?”, and blamed us for not saying “I reserved from Burpple”. What is the difference if we had told you beforehand vs after the meal, that we are usinf Burpple? There is no reservation button from Burpple at all. Also mixed up our meat orders. Would not come again.

Great food, choices and 1f1 deal Would definitely come again!! (-: the spread of food for the buffet was good. Fresh seafood, meat and the usual meatballs, tofu and etc. But be aware that most/all staff there (when we were there) only speaks chim Chinese. Luckily my friend was a fluent speaker!

Great service and marinated meat for bbq It’s pretty alright for the hotpot/bbq, nothing fancy but have to agree that they do serve decent quality of meat (esp the marinated pork belly). Scallop Tomato Cream Pasta ($33++) Loved this dish! The scallops were well-seasoned and not at all rubbery. The tomato cream sauce was rich without being too heavy, and the radish slices added a refreshing crunch. Pasta could’ve been a little more al dente for my liking, but overall still satisfying. Would return just for this!

Baked Sea Perch ($29++) The plating was gorgeous, and the portion generous. The seabass fillet was nicely cooked with crispy skin, though I personally wished the skin was just a touch more salted to bring out the flavour. The added pieces of deep fried fish skin were unnecessary to me. Plus, it was not crispy. The asparagus was a great pairing—tender and fresh. The sauce had red pepper taste and more abundant than past reviews suggested (a win for pepper lovers!), but as someone who isn’t big on pepper, the strong infusion wasn’t to my taste. Caviar was alright—adds a nice touch visually, but don’t expect high-grade quality. Overall, a decent dish if you enjoy pepper-forward sauces.

Milk Cheesecake 9++ Kind of like ice cream almost, it's alright but not stunning in any way. Girl liked it tho Overall this place is very overpriced esp since burpple beyond is not very useful here, plus the waiting time is ridiculous. I have to say there aren't many Caribbean places yet tho, so given how this is more authentic than Limehouse they probably have some advantage for a while.

Pulpo Gallego 19++ I really liked this. There's a certain heat but the flavours are absolutely intense. It's braised octopus with chorizo and raisins. The octopus is pretty chewy but it's used brilliantly by pairing it w an intense sauce and cutting it into small chunks so the bite actually works. There's a certain heat to it too and the thyme? Bread which was crumbly worked passably w it. Not very worth it given the size but I adored this dish

Jerk Ckn 13++ THE BURPPLE BEYOND DEAL IS JUST FOR A FREE FRIED DISH, NOT ANYTHING ON THE MENU Pretty worth it, solid portion for the price. there's a bit of the spices that's reminiscent of the Cajun spices, but otherwise this dish is really hot.

Moosh softserve (Burpple) Got S'mores and cheesecake. There were only 2 people infront of us but we waited for ~20-25 minutes. Ice cream melts very very fast too. It tasted like a very normal chocolate ice cream. 4/10.

Soft Serve ($4.50 Each) Soft serves are large enough for two. Get the ondeh ondeh if you like coconut flavour. Great to cool you down with the hot weather theses days. And 4.50 for 2 (after burpple 1 for 1) means its even better value than a mcflurry! Do note that there are only 2 seats outside the shop (and none inside)

Cookie Crumble Loved the white choc soft serve! Generous with serving, way more than McFlurry HAHA. With the burpple deal, definitely a great price! :)

Superb Customer Service Staff was ultra friendly, polite and helpful throughout lunch! Lobster Bisque is a must add-on because it is very legit!

1-1 business course A 4+1 course meal at Lobster Air as we added on half dozen of oysters. Otherwise the original set consist of a soup, salad, main course, dessert and a coffee/tea. The half Boston lobster with pasta is at an exorbitant price of $68 with their aglio olio a tad too oily and nothing additionally spectacular about their lobster. For most of their other soup and desserts choices, it comes with a pretty hefty top up too whereby their top up price is what most of other restaurants are charging outside. We opted for the lobster bisque (+$15) and Dark chocolate lava cake (+$8). None of the dishes are exceptional with maybe lobster bisque making the mark, at least it’s not diluted and there’s the umami flavors. Even with Burpple 1-1, I don’t really find it worth it which kind of explains why we are probably the only table of diners there. It’s either restaurants are trying to marked up to offset such 1-1 discounts and yes your customers can do their math too, otherwise, paying for such a bill, there’s many other better restaurant options out there.

Seafood donburi is really good We tried out the seafood donburi and truffle beef donburi. Both were good, but the seafood donburi was the better of the 2 with the variety of seafood (unagi, seaweed, shrimp, scallop). With the egg on top of the seafood donburi, the entire combination blended very well together. The beef was overall good, just with some bits slightly tougher to chew.

Seafood Donburi In Hotstone Bowl - Yum 🤤 This had a nice umami taste of the seafood mix- scallop, prawn🍤, fish roe, unagi and topped with an onsen egg. Yummilicious! As it is being served in a hotstone bowl, the dish came hot and I love the rice which is fragrantly charred. Highly recommended! 😋
