overall nice place at dine at! was a little disappointed with the seating as my friend and i sat opposite each other, next to other couples/friends and it was kind of awkward and made it hard to hear each other. but after a while i got used to it la
really liked the texture of the beef slices, it was thinner (which is what i like) and paired well with the sauces!
there were around 4 sauces available (garlic soy/bbq/spicy miso/sea salt) along with other things like chilli and seasonings.
each set came with a bowl of rice (u get to pick how big) and soup which i absolutely LOVED
one thing was that the grill kept catching on fire which was scary lol (but it’s rather normal for yakiniku i guess)

overall would def come back if i’m craving yakiniku! would like to try other yakiniku places as well

we tried this new (i think) hamburg steak curry udon! it was quite pricey at $15.90 nett but we wanted to give it a go c: not sure how much the tempura was

… as much as i would like to say i haven’t wasted my dollars, i think i have 😭 imo the udon was kinda mid for the price, the curry udon was nice but the hamburg was quite tough and kinda dry for some reason?? which was quite saddening bc we were really looking forward to the hamburg steak

maybe it’s just because i’m not much of a udon person (?) but this was a failed venture! will be going back to mapo tofu don or kitsune udon for future idaten visits

ok i took this pic after i mixed it up but before i did i thought the boss was being a cheapskate bc the amount of 料 was sooo little… then i mixed and tried it and omg i was wrong it was so little but the noodles were so flavourful 😋

tea eggs were also decent, not much 茶叶蛋 taste but they were cooked just right!

my 3rd time back here and it’s def worth it for the price and quality and the AIRCON

second time at fish & co and omg their fish legit changed me from a fish hater to a fish lover.. the fish is so crispy and delicate fr 🩷 i couldn’t really taste the mozzarella in the danish but i didn’t care bc the fish was so good… the fries were also soooo good with the tartar sauce ❣️
for cheese lovers, the new york set will prob taste more like cheese 😋
also pls rmb to bring ur student card if you’re a student

was craving this some time back and decided to get it. never would i have thought that the staff would give me the biggest fattest scoop of ice cream i’ve EVER seen, like i could feel her dedication in scooping it for me and ong i was so grateful 💘
sad thing was that it got a bit too jelak for me halfway but worth it for the calories

- meat free mapo tofu don with seaweed tempura
we got extra servings of tempura bits along with our orders!
mapo tofu don was actually unbelievably good. like i went back to idaten and got it 2 more times good. a tad oily but i think it’s worth the grease
kitsune udon was nice but i’m not really a udon person 🫨
seaweed tempura was SO CRUNCHY but it became quite stale after a while so eat ur tempura early
already went back 😋

this was from october 2022 so we got it during the 50% off promo (rtp $17.90++ for one set)
katsu came with rice, miso soup, tonkatsu sauce and black sesame for you to grind and add the sauce into
cheese katsu was perfectly fried! was so crispy and tender :-) cheese wasn’t very noticeable but it was a good balance!
would come back again… if they had the promo again lol

ice cream and waffles were all p good (imo waffles were kinda too small 😭), the strawberry cheesecake had bits of cheesecake in it and it was rlly nice!! the ice shaken teas were the star of the show imo LOL i loved the strawberry elderflower one
we stayed for some time to study and the ambience was q nice, quite little people and most importantly, STRONG AIR CON ❣️❣️

can’t remember the prices but they’re all def under $10!
my fav was def the dandanmian, the noodles were springy and chewy and the 料 was so flavourful 🤤 also stole some meatballs and they were SO GOOD, if they had a la carte meatballs i would def buy 10 of it. not rlly a dumplings person but the dumplings were rlly good!
a must buy if i pass by bugis 🐛

- fresh fruits and maple syrup sweet crepes with latte macchiato ($9.90++)
ordered this as part of their afternoon delight lunch promo! crepes were sufficiently sweet and soft, fruits were also quite fresh and went well with the crepes. latte was good too but i personally didn’t really fancy it bc it was too bitter for my liking 🫨 after gst and service charge this was around $11++, i would def come back when i’m craving it 💯‼️

all lunch sets came with a soup (ours was miso soup), a drink and ice cream
the pizza was def the highlight for me, it was served HOT and the cheese was so stretchy 🫨 carbonara was good too!!
food was rlly good but it was a lot, my stomach barely held up after everything lol
would come back to try the other mains!!

i only had 2 plates bc the kroffles were so filling… ok it was good but the chocolate ice cream was toooo jelak, i had it for my second plate and literally felt like puking tbh 😭
service was rlly good tho, all the staff were q friendly!
