LYCHEE OOLONG tried their Lychee Oolong💗 which is their new flavor. Both lychee and oolong is more of an after taste which i think they used lychee oolong tea to make the creme 🤔

CHICKEN BACON PIE Their Chicken Bacon Pie surprised me by how good it is💯 It’s meaty inside with cookie crust outside💗 served with salad as well 😋

Spicy Tan Tan Tonkotsu Udon The Spicy Tan Tan Tonkotsu Udon ($12.90) features a rich and savory Tonkotsu broth with spicy sesame paste, minced meat, egg, kelp and udon noodles, drizzled in garlic oil. This is packed with so much flavour and absolutely delicious. Slurped all of this right down to the final drop!

Great service & food Had the Pork Udon with egg and rice with assorted tempura (Kakiage & Snow cream croquette). I like that they provide a few free condiments such as tempura bits & seaweed which you can add to your udon or rice like me to further enhance the meal. Being in a town area, the food here is affordable which explain the queue outside.

Black Garlic Tonkotsu Udon ($12.80) previously I didn't able to try it out but in ramen version. But it's much better than previous trip that I have tried it out. But I felt that their udon was quite hard and not that chewy texture in the past that they used have.

Salmon rice bowl Pretty enjoyable! Enjoyed this more than I thought. Hoped there was more salmon though.

Normal Daily Bowl Nothing special about this place, honestly. Only plus point is their deal 1-for-1 for Burpple Beyond members. The salmon was hard & dry, the rest just average ingredients.

Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl Super filling, yummy and healthy Japanese styled bowls - the runny egg tops it off 🤤 It’s super worth with burpple beyond. They have 50% off every second bowl on weekends too!

Yummy Sushi Rolls (with a price tag) Tucked in a quiet corner of Far East Plaza, the sushi bar serves sashimi and sushi at slightly premium prices. Pictured here are 3 sushi rolls served on a common plate that would be about approx $62 after service charge and GST. The sushi rolls were however, quite delicious and fresh.

salmon don (22++) sushi bar is truly a hidden gem found in far east plaza! salmon on the don was fresh and thick cut, with perfectly cooked japanese rice underneath. service was excellent as well, sushi bar is my go-to for birthday celebrations! 🤍

House Pour Sake We saw outside that there was happy hour for sake on Mondays to Thursdays and we decided to give it a go as $5++ for a cup is relatively cheap for alcohol! Sake was very light although the taste of alcohol was much more prominent than that in other sake drinks, which may or may not be to everyone's liking. We also did not ask the staff which sake drink was this, hence we are not even sure if the drink is from the hakushika distillery.

Japanese Sea Salt And Sweet Potato Soft Serve Had to top up $4 for the gold flakes to use the Burpple Beyond deal. Each cup cost $5.50 without the golden flakes usually. Total $9.50 for these two cups. The texture is good and creamy but probably won't visit again.

Not Bad This 1-for-1 is meant to promote their Gold Flakes. I don't think it is stated here, but at the stall itself, the staff will tell you that the Gold Flakes or Silver Flakes is a must. My friends and I added Green Tea Mochi & the sweet potato which cost 50 cents per topping. We expected more mochi and sweet potato, but all we got was 2 pieces of mochi and 2 pieces of sweet potato. (Not sure what y'all will think about it, but i find 2 pieces is too little...) BUT.... We find the ice cream not bad as it wasn't so sweet for the Green Tea flavour and the Salted Caramel flavour. Since it's a 1-for-1, i can't expect too much... Overall, it was okay... We were just shocked at the final bill - $11.50 for the 2 cups of ice cream & 2 pieces of Mochi and 2 pieces of Sweet Potato...

For 1-for-1 Main Dish (save ~$9.90) Note this quiet spot on Temple Street down for lunch with a colleague. Fill up on generous helpings of flavourful Truffle La Mian with Mushroom ($9.90). Truffle La Mian [$9.90] I call this Atas Hawker Food or Hawker Food lv 2. A substantial bowl of dry noodles that delivers good flavours with every bite. The truffle smell is strong but taste wise, was more on the subtle side. Place was really quiet as well, so you don't need to rush to beat the lunch crowd.

Arrabiata with Konjac Seafood Pasta Taking over the former Soul Veggie is this new place also selling vegetarian food. Unlike the former one which selling only the Korean dishes, The Bowl Co. also sell local and western cuisine, including the steamboat and army stew. We came when there’s a big group before us. So the waiting time was much longer than expected. I guess they only have one chef to prepare the food. The pasta was good, lots of mushroom and the fake seafood. $11.90

Pistachio and Yuzu Pistachio ice cream that could rival Creamier imo. The nutty flavour was so pronounced and fragrant. Highly recommend! Yuzu on the other hand was citrus-y as expected but a tad too sour for my liking. 😅

Waffles And Gelato The ice cream here is really thick and leaves an aftertaste of gelatin on your palate. Not my favourite but still good attempt for a new ice cream palour. Waffles were crispy and decent.

Pistachio, Summerberries, Hojicha, Honey Lavender Had the waffle with pistachio and summerberries as well as a hojicha and honey lavender in cup form. The best flavours are definitely the honey lavender if you're a tea aficionado, it is on the sweet side but the lavender shines through like a breath of fresh air. The pistachio with the waffle is really good and a must try. I was blown away with the first bite.

For 1-for-1 Main Dish (save ~$10) Work's out, and drinks are in order. Enter this bar housed in Ocean Financial Centre, complete with bar bites to fuel your tummy before the drinks sesh. The tender, chunky Spicy Crispy Chicken ($12) should do the trick. Spicy Crispy Chicken ($12) This was a pretty good snack to wash down with a beer; crisp, salty chunks of tender chicken. The Thousand Island sauce served alongside with it seemed a little weird, but nothing to complain about this. Available with #BurppleBeyond.

Pizza Margherita ($15) Some bar bites to go along with your booze, this isn’t really the pizza you’d expect though it does taste alright. Pizza sauce with melted cheese on top of focaccia is tasty enough, though really quite filling so make sure you share this with a buncha people! Available with #BurppleBeyond.

Mala Madness Pizza ($24) This place has satisfying pizza! We got an assortment of pizzas with very interesting toppings, including this mala pizza. It has quite an authentic mala taste (both numb and spicy) and I’m surprised at how well it was on pizza! The staff are very nice and friendly too :)

Sashimi Pizza [$29++] Mayo base, fresh salmon sashimi, ikura & topped with nori flakes. I enjoyed the succulent sashimi pieces and the roe pieces which were bursting with flavour. The pizza was very flavourful. I loved this!

Bourbon Pulled Pork Pizza [$26++] House special bourbon sauce, topped with slow cooked pulled pork, caramelised onions and basil. This was a very sweet pizza due to the caramelised onions. It’s a relatively safe choice for people who are afraid to venture into new boundaries in terms of taste.
