Hog Wild with Chef Bruno is just about 15-20 mins drive away from Seminyak. Be prepared to wait for a table even though the restaurant is huge! They have some limited edition ribs which we were too late for so pork ribs it is. Hog Wild sure has some trick to make the smokiest, most tender and juicy ribs. Beside ribs, try their crispy pork belly, bebek goreng (duck confit with a choice of fries and rice) plus their porn corn. Don’t ask me why the name. My advice for you is, go in big groups so you can order more and stuff your nose into the wide variety of delicacies. Will definitely return on my next trip. .

I had the Texas which is the pulled pork burger with the wicked potato skin. The potato skin was loaded with cheese and bacon bits sprinkled with some chopped spring onions. I could live with that potato skin! The pork was a little tough and felt like they just hand-shred the pork into chunks so some turned out in pretty big pieces which made it feels hard. Patty buns turned out to be cold, wished they were toasted warmer. And so I was at Boca Singapore last Thursday #tbt yes. The set lunch comes with a main and a salad. For the mains, choose from Steak and Frites and several fish dishes. I had the Cod Fish Scrambled Eggs. It was a pleasant surprise when they served, I could not quite make out what was it there. Surely, there were fried onions, minced cod fish, olives and parsley. I can only put it in one word, magical. And what made it better was the chili alcohol 》〉 swipe right to the last pic which has a tinge of spice without overpowering the dish.. The beef striploin is grilled medium rare together with a decent piece of foie gras and finally a good dose of truffle for an overall flavourful experience. That said, the service could be a LOT better. We were made to wait close to 30 mins for our dish to be served and the bowl of salmon mentai from Yuki Onna took almost 45 minutes! I will probably do a takeaway or else, stick to Yuki Onna.

2nd Photo: Ro Ppong-Roje which felt like a cheesy plate of spaghettis with tomato-based sauce. I think I can understand why this is one of the best sellers, as the rendition of sweet and savoury will appeal to the younger crowd. One advice though, 打铁趁热 😛 Eat while it’s hot!
3rd Photo: If you haven’t had jjamppong anywhere, then you need to have the Cha Pong. The restaurant’s class version of the ppong. Choose between level 1 or 2 spiciness. For a spice-lover, level 2 has more kick so it will appeal more to you. The slightly sweetened soup is loaded with pepper and quite shiok! Definitely a go-to dish from now on. .
