The sausage was amazing! The herbs and spices infused were delectable. Came with avocado sprinkled with paprika, fresh salad without any dressing was pleasant. Crispy bacon and nicely seasoned mushrooms! I prefer my scrambled eggs more runny. At $19++ with Burpple 1-1 it was great! Goes well with their coffee.
The Chili crab pasta ($18) was delicious! It came with a crispy fried soft shell crab, and the sauce was sweet and spicy. I personally would prefer it with linguine, I found their pasta had a grainy texture. The tom yum seafood ($17) was amazing! It was creamy but the cream was not overpowering. I’d like it a bit spicier, I finished the whole thing without feeling jelak. The dish came with fresh prawns, not the tiny frozen prawns. Affordable with the burpple 1–1. Also had the iced latte plus, I found the coffee too acidic and bitter for my liking. I’d recommend a regular latte instead. The ambience was perfect for a chill date!
The most amazing fresh sushi! Easy to order via tablet, so many other great options to choose from! Makis are amazing, especially the almond one. Grill was great too. Loved the great company so so much too. Excellent value at $31/pax after ++.
Great $12.90++ omurice plus mentaiko combo. Large portions because I upsized for free, and it’s served with a choice of sides (coleslaw was delicious) and miso soup. The egg was fluffy soft and creamy, utterly delicious! The rice inside was
Tomato-flavoured and stir fried fragrantly with onions. The mentaiko pasta was quite salty but one of the nicer mentaiko pastas I’ve ever had! The noodles were firm and the pasta complemented the rice well. It was nice but I don’t think I’d have a specific craving for this. Worth a try though!
Went on a Friday evening and had this really bad food! The aglio olio was bitter from the burnt garlic, and without any olive oil it was essentially stir fried noodles. The pizza was bland and there was no taste of any truffle oil. The dough was dry and tough. Not worth the $30 at all; there are plenty of better cafes out there. I usually love Harry’s famous jazz burgers, and I was terribly disappointed this time. Won’t ever go to this branch again.
This place is tucked away in the rundown Shaw building, but don’t let that stop you, Tom’s palette is renovated well and clean. Got the Rum & raisin with Chocolate tea, as well as the honey lavender with honey cinnamon. It had a gelato consistency and was packed with flavour. I especially loved the rum & raisin, i could really taste the sweet rum. The lavender had floral notes and the honey cinnamon was reminiscent of Auntie Annie’s cinnamon pretzels! $5 for 2x 4Oz cups is a steal. Come support Tom and enjoy his delicious ice-cream! Maybe even try the adventurous flavours like white chocolate nori.
Mixed it for 20s as per the instructions. Their noodles were springy and soft. The texture of the noodles went well with the runny egg and spicy minced pork. The small portion of soup provided was quite salty. Tea and a hard boiled egg were available on each table. For $12.80++ I really enjoyed this dry ramen! You should try it if you haven’t tried mazesoba before, it’s quite an experience.
Thin crust pizza with crispy pepperoni, sweet tomato sauce with shiitake mushrooms. The crust was crispy and the sauce was delicious, with a spicy kick from the fresh chilli. The staff were attentive and the service was great! I also ordered a pasta. The meal was affordable with the Burpple 1-1 deal at $24++. I’d definitely go back when I have a craving for pizza.
