Starchy and thick kind of hokkien mee. Prawns we're huge and fresh. Got the $10 option because I was told that $6-8 is really small. A little too much for me but this is good!
Opened by 4 partners that includes actor Chew Chor Meng, this place serves value for money mookata great for group dinner/ supper gatherings in the neighborhood. The meats (chicken, pork, beef) are well marinated without the heavy-handedness. Other crowd favorites include the cheesy fish cakes and the good'o luncheon meat. They also serve prawns marinated lightly in salt that are fresher than what is usually found at mookata places. On average it should cost you just $12-15 per pax. It's the anchor tenant of the coffee shop and they open till 2am. Superb value!
Come here if you like quality, comfort and really good collagen hot pot! It's good even after the soup refills. Great to bring your families. I really like their fish/ prawn/ meat balls and paste. Make reservations a week ahead.
This is a no brainer. I loved the meaty flavors and it went really well with the home made pasta. It's worth getting the home made pasta. Love the dedication behind every dish served here. Can't wait to be have this again!
Authentic Italian fare at value for money prices. The medium rare ribeye was done really well. Get the wild boar ragu - probably my fave dish of the night. Reminds me of La Pizzaiola a lot. Comfortable and homely setting. Enjoyed myself!
I'm impressed with the tempura don set lunch here. Available only for their lunch menu (12-3pm), it comes with generous portions of fresh fish, crab and vegetables. The rice was also very flavorful. So easy to finish them all. What's best, you can dine in the comforts of a private room. You also have the choice of other lunch sets like Salmon, eel, puffer fish and a few others. I'll definitely be back again!
My favorite dish of the 7 course dinner set. It's really having fried garoupa in chili crab sauce with a tinge of Sichuan mala. Sets are priced at $58/ $78 per pax. A really good place to bring your big families to. Very comfortable setting.
Huge bowl of assorted diced sashimi, uni and ikura. Comes with salad, miso soup and coffee brûlée as dessert. Definitely fills you up. Recommend you to go for the more value for money sets on the menu.
I really enjoyed the slightly chewy texture of the puffer fish. Gives it a bit more character over your regular sashimi. It goes really well with the yuzu sauce or soy sauce. The must try dish when you're here at a fugu restaurant! Heard this is the only fugu dedicated place in Singapore. The quality of food here is really high and I appreciate their authenticity.
Huge servings, right out of the frying pan. Comes with your usual fried vegetables fare- cabbage, mushrooms, pork pieces. So satisfying!
Makes a great supper dish. So satisfying!
Get this together with the good o cheese steak sandwich and share. The batter was light and the chicken was really enjoyable. Generous servings as you would expect here at PBD!
