These look like Swiss rolls but are actually Ah Mah Homemade Cake’s latest innovation, the blanket castella roll. The rolls stand out for their extra fluffy cake base since they’re actually castella cakes, and you can customise them based on your preference of the cake base (chocolate, pandan or sesame) and spreads (chocolate, cream cheese, kaya, or strawberry).

Satisfying bowl for when you’re tryna eat clean but still want to indulge - it’s not exactly the healthiest but it’s a healthier option because of the grilled chicken and lettuce. The crunchy slaw is also pretty refreshing and adds a great texture to the bowl.

This is kind of a healthier option burger because the chicken is grilled and fresh (not frozen), so I feel like the price point is really good and this is really affordable. I’m really bad at spicy food but the chilli marinade of this chicken patty took me by surprise cause it was so good!! If you like the gingery garlicky chicken rice chilli type of sauce, this sauce would hit all the right notes for you.

Portuguese flame-grilled chicken chain Oporto has just opened its first outlet in Singapore. While Oporto is a chain restaurant serving affordable burgers and chicken, they don’t compromise on quality, using only fresh instead of frozen chicken, and grilling instead of frying - the result is a tender, well-seasoned chicken that won’t break the calorie bank. Make sure to try their Original Chilli Sauce, which was somewhat reminiscent of a heartier version of the chicken rice chilli sauce, as it was their claim to fame in Australia.

Jumping on the Unagi bandwagon!! This Unagi restaurant actually originated from Japan, where they have 20 outlets, one of which has earned a place in the Bib Gourmand 2018 Michelin guide.
The Unagi is really tender and flavourful, probably because their method of cooking it is pretty unique: they steam and charcoal grill the fresh eel multiple times so that it retains its tenderness. At this price point, I would foresee the crowds flocking here

Totally makes up for the CNY feasting 🙃 loved the chia pudding bottom but I would have preferred the açai less icy

Honestly couldn’t taste the difference between the charcoal, chocolate and original toasts. That said, I love how buttery they are (I don’t know if some may find it too oily) and I actually really like the sweet-ish cheese blend and that they use (doesn’t taste particularly high quality but it’s the kinda cheese that you wanna keep having more of). The stretchiness is also pretty unreal LOL

Love the idea of a cheesecake pop and a bar of toppings that you can add to your pop for free!! Unfortunately, this wasn’t my favourite cheesecake - it just didn’t taste very fresh and it was way too heavy (maybe they could add some subtle notes of citrus or hold back on the heavy cream in the cheesecake batter).

This bowl has 3 layers: pitaya (red dragonfruit), acai, and matcha chia pudding. The Chia pudding adds a great texture to the acai bowl, and I love that the açai isn’t overly sweet and tastes really natural. You’re not gonna taste much of the matcha, but that’s cause they didn’t want the 3 flavours to clash.
If you’re not a fan of nuts, make sure to let them know because this comes topped with a lot of nuts!!

Go-to place for consistently good thick toasts!! I actually think this is better than after you’s thick toast because it’s definitely crispier and also very buttery :-)

Not bad, the char Siew filling was good and the crust was not too sweet. I think the bao could be generally fluffier!

My favourite was Melaka!! Really interesting because each coffee really had a distinct taste and lightness and it's quite fun to try them and decide on which one suits your taste.
