My next stop was the Grumpy Cyclist in TTDI. The Grumpy Cyclist isn't your typical regular coffee joint with a weird hipster name, it's also a pitstop for cyclists around the area who desperately need a coffee break or even a shower!! The latte here is not bad but just slightly overpriced. Nevertheless, it's still a pretty nice place to chill with friends and family 😉. I only wish that they would serve more food there.

After talking to the barista, he explained to me that the V60 tends to bring out more of the bean's flavor and that V60 is normally used for ice coffee because the ice will melt and dilute the coffee. I was really impressed by the barista. It's good to know that there places where the barista actually wants you to know more about what you're drinking and not just 'make' and serve coffee 😊

The aeropress here is pretty good 😊. Slightly intense and acidic flavor. Though service was a little slow and coffee was a little overpriced, I still thought it's a pretty cool place to chill and hangout 😁

The hand drip was totally different from what I had back in VCR. This time the coffee was pretty dark tasting and intense. Though I'm not the kind of guy who likes dark and bitter coffee, I kinda like this one 😊

Took us a while to find this place 😅. Honestly speaking, this was the best stop among all the places I've been to today. The coffee had a grape and floral taste, sweet berry acidity and a clear clarity 😊. A big thumbs up from me 👍

Today, My food journey has brought me to one of the most talked about places among foodies all over KL, The Three Little Pigs and The Big Bad Wolf 🐷!! It took me a while to find the place (Mainly because it's hidden somewhere WITHIN Village Grocer Supermarket 😑). I ordered a caffe latte and their Egg benedict. The caffe latte was somewhat of a late down. It tasted pretty bland and slightly too milky. The egg benedict however, was amazing! The poached eggs were made to perfection, the yolk was runny, the hollandaise sauce was great and pork bacon was delicious!! I also got to try out their oven baked eggs and Little Piggy's breakfast which were amazing as well.

I hope everyone is having an awesome weekend so far 😊. Today I visited one of my favorite cafés in Damansara Jaya, The Bulb Coffee. Not only does Bulb Coffee serve food and coffee, they also organize parties, ukulele boot camps and make-up workshops!! Today, I tried their americano, the Bulb Butter Bread Chicken sandwich and their famous banana cheesecake. Their americano was not bad. It has a cocoa aroma and a bittersweet taste but it slowly turns acidic as it cools down. As for the chicken sandwich, it was plain, simple and nicely done. Three slices of bread with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, chicken ham, onions and thin spread of butter. However, the real star of the show was their banana cheesecake!! Cheese with chocolate chips and topped of with nuts and banana 😋. The banana cheesecake is a MUST try when you're in The Bulb Coffee 👍

Today I visited Jing-Si Books & Café and sampled their Jing-Si Oolong Tea. I may not be a big fan of tea but the Oolong tea was still pretty good 😊. Not only do their tea taste good, the environment here is really relaxing and quiet!! A perfect place sit down and enjoy a good book or even study 👍

Today, I visited Quar/tet, a neighborhood coffee joint located in TTDI. This café is the ideal hangout spot for hipsters around the neighborhood because of their vinyl collection and amazing playlist of songs 😉. What makes them even more amazing is that they also serve good coffee and tasty food!! Their long black has a nice balance of bitterness and acidity. Though their pavlova may have been a little too sweet for my liking, their other desserts such as the banoffee pie and caramel pecan pie are delicious!! So whether you're a hipster or an average joe, drop by Quar/tet when you guys have the chance! Trust me, you won't regret it 👍

Well look no further because Milk and Butter in Bangsar serves a pretty good piece of sandwich 😉. Grilled boneless chicken, cheese, lettuce, red cabbage, olives, onions and tomato slices in between a piece of toasted panini with a side of fries and dips, the panini grilled chicken is one of the best sandwiches I've tasted around KL so far. Milk and Butter also serves pasta, western food and my personal favorite, all-day breakfast!!

My journey for good food has brought me to a mobile pasta truck located in Jalan Dungun called "LAFAMIGLIA"! Today, I tried out their signature "The Boss" pasta, which is a combination of their special carbonara sauce and bolognese sauce with onions and garlic and topped with marinated tender spicy grilled chicken. This pasta is definitely something new to me, but overall, the pasta tasted pretty good even though the portion is slightly smaller than I expected.

Today I revisited The Grumpy Cyclist in TTDI for some coffee and cookies!! Lucky for me, the cookies that I ordered were fresh from the box that was just delivered to them 😋! I had one of every cookie that they had, which is the chocolate chip cookie, oatmeal raisin cookie and what seems to be a double chocolate cookie with caramel and topped with sea salt. My personal favorite was double chocolate cookie, followed by the oatmeal raisin and the chocolate chip cookie. The double chocolate cookie was soft inside with a crunchy crust outside but the cookie was slightly dry. Nevertheless, it was still a nice piece of cookie and the pinch of sea salt on top really compliments the caramel filling inside!!
