I donโ€™t know why the waiter recommended the ๐’๐š๐ฅ๐ฆ๐จ๐ง ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ƒ๐š๐ข๐ค๐จ๐ง ๐๐จ๐จ๐๐ฅ๐ž ๐’๐š๐ฅ๐š๐ ($๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‘) but it was awful. I would usually just finish the food even if itโ€™s bad, but this was hard to get down. ๐Ÿฅด
They claim to have added a lime, ginger and sesame dressing, but there is no distinguishable flavour other than a stark bitterness and old taste of the daikon โ€˜noodlesโ€™. We asked them if the dish was supposed to taste like that and they offered us more dressing, which was just OIL?
Also for the salmon, while really crispy on the outside, it was pretty overcooked. This dish was... a hard pass.

I mean, for a restaurant that prides themselves on the rawness of their ingredients, I would expect the ingredients to be a lot fresher. We intended to get dessert too, but after that last dish, we were outta there.

The ๐™๐ฎ๐œ๐œ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ข ๐‹๐š๐ฌ๐š๐ ๐ง๐ž ($๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ) doesnโ€™t win any marks on looks, but itโ€™s deceptively flavourful!Itโ€™s quite unlike anything Iโ€™ve tried before, thin slices of zucchini and tomato, layered with taco โ€˜meatโ€™ (I have no idea what it was), creamy cashew mayo, macadamia cheese and pesto.
The portion looks small but itโ€™s quite filling as the dish is very creamy! The different sauces had distinctive flavour profiles that melded well together. But I just wish that the tomato sauce was fresher

The whipped cream was sooo light, not too sweet, and definitely not jelak in the slightest! Iโ€™d never think buns could be refreshing, but thatโ€™s exactly what these were!

The ๐—ฅ๐—ผ๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ฒ bun has a really interesting flavour! The layer of an rose custard gave a pleasant subtle rose fragrance, it indeed tastes like BANDUNG! I was surprised by how much I liked this, seeing that Iโ€™m not a fan of the bandung drink, but this was aromatic and refreshing!

The ๐—ž๐—ฎ๐˜†๐—ฎ ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ is what youโ€™d expect from a kaya bun, but nicely complemented by the light whipped cream! Itโ€™s a little on the sweeter side to me, but still really tasty.

Of the three, the ๐—–๐˜‚๐˜€๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฑ ๐—–๐—น๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฑ is probably the most normal tasting one, as the custard layer isnโ€™t very distinct, masked under all the whipped cream. Anyway, since I love the whipped cream, I still enjoyed this one!

Even without considering the delivery factor, the gravy of the ๐‹๐จ๐ซ ๐Œ๐ž๐ž ๐Ÿฅข was top notch! Unlike most other places where the gravy gets too watery after mixing, this gravy stayed perfectly gooey and sticky til the last drop ๐Ÿคค
Also, theyโ€™re not kidding about the spiciness ๐Ÿฅต My weak spice tolerance failed me, but I still kept finding myself reaching for more

Their ๐‹๐š๐ค๐ฌ๐š ๐ŸŒถ came with a generous amount of ingredients! A good amount of cockles, tau pok and fish cake. However, while containing all the components of a good laksa, I think it could do with a richer gravy.

I can see why the ๐Œ๐ž๐ž ๐’๐ข๐š๐ฆ ๐Ÿœ is their signature dish! The thick gravy has a deep and rich flavour. I loved the pronounced nuttiness and the rich creamy flavour from the fresh coconut milk! Had a nice old school taste ๐Ÿฅฐ

๐‘๐ž๐ ๐•๐ž๐ฅ๐ฏ๐ž๐ญ ๐‹๐š๐ฏ๐š ๐‚๐จ๐จ๐ค๐ข๐ž, that held a lemon curd lava. I hate lemon things but this was delish ๐Ÿ‘Œ. Also, I have no idea what the ๐’๐ž๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐ญ ๐†๐š๐ซ๐๐ž๐ง ๐ข๐œ๐ž ๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ฆ is made of, but it had light floral and tea notes and tasted somewhat reminiscent of rose syrup? It was an interesting aromatic flavour, and I really liked it!

The cookie and lava flavours really complement each other so well!! Itโ€™s $8.50 for one, but itโ€™s a little small to share honestly because it lasted maybe 3 mins ๐Ÿ˜ณ

The ๐Ž๐ง๐๐ž๐ก ๐Ž๐ง๐๐ž๐ก ๐‹๐š๐ฏ๐š ๐‚๐จ๐จ๐ค๐ข๐ž was SO YUMS ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. The top of the cookie had a beautiful crisp edge that contrasted the soft, gooey interior and the ๐๐š๐ง๐จ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ž๐ž ๐ข๐œ๐ž ๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ฆ. The desiccated coconut and cornflakes were a nice touch of texture, with a gula melaka filling that melded everything together both flavour-wise and texturally.

These ๐Œ๐š๐œ๐š๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ($๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”+) just look pretty on the outside. The texture was the greatest downfall: a sticky, almost underbaked batter that was far too soft and mushy. โ˜น๏ธ

They came in 8 flavours, all of which were super heavy with an overriding sickly sweetness, and an unpleasantly pronounced buttery taste. If I had to pick a favourite, it would be the ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐˜€๐—ฝ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฟ๐˜†, as the tang of the berry did help to lighten the macaron, but it was still so dense.

It could also be because they were delivered at the end of the day or the humid weather, but I was really surprised by how these turned out... Theyโ€™re really not great, and I wouldnโ€™t get this. โ˜น๏ธ

The ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ง๐ญ ๐Œ๐ข๐ฌ๐จ ๐ˆ๐›๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐œ๐จ ๐“๐จ๐ง๐ค๐จ๐ญ๐ฌ๐ฎ ๐‘๐š๐ฆ๐ž๐ง ($15.90) was a simple dish executed brilliantly! The tonkotsu broth was no doubt the star of the dish for me. I usually find ramen broths to be too cloying or salty, but this was very smooth and palatable, and pleasantly rich.

However, pork wasnโ€™t as tender as I hoped, but the flavour was good, slightly fatty and had a good balance of char and sweetness. Also, I picked the โ€˜firmโ€™ noodles, but they tasted a bit floury ๐Ÿ˜•.

But seriously, the deep, deliciously flavourful broth really sets itself apart from other places.

The ๐’๐ž๐š๐Ÿ๐จ๐จ๐ ๐Œ๐š๐ฅ๐š ๐‘๐š๐ฆ๐ž๐ง ($21.90) is exactly what it claims to be. If you like mala, you will LOVE this.
The mala spice immediately hits you at first sip, with the numbing effect kicking in after a few spoonfuls.
But what is really commendable about this dish is the freshness of the seafood. Nice and firm prawns, sizeable mussels, and delicious plump scallops ๐Ÿ˜‹.

Their drinks really set them apart from other stalls, theyโ€™re unique and I would say, distinctively better. Their traditional drinks are done really well, especially their coffee. I picked up a ๐Š๐จ๐ฉ๐ข ($๐Ÿ.๐Ÿ“๐ŸŽ), opting for the Siew Dai (50% sugar), which i recommend since their original tends to be a little sweet. The coffee was rich and aromatic, with a deep flavour you donโ€™t find in your usual hawker kopi! I havenโ€™t tried many of their modern drinks but their ๐˜๐ฎ๐š๐ง ๐˜๐š๐ง๐  ($๐Ÿ.๐Ÿ•๐ŸŽ) was delicious! The ๐“๐ก๐š๐ข ๐Œ๐ข๐ฅ๐ค ๐“๐ž๐š ($๐Ÿ.๐Ÿ“๐ŸŽ) is very sweet, as with their other drinks, but you can pick your sugar level, and it was nonetheless what youโ€™d expect from a good thai milk tea! Their portions, even for the regular size, are very generous!

On the other hand, I wouldnโ€™t say that their food is something to shout about. The ๐Œ๐š๐ญ๐œ๐ก๐š ๐Œ๐ข๐ฅ๐ค ๐“๐จ๐š๐ฌ๐ญ ($๐Ÿ“.๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ for the set) is a unique twist on the usual kaya toast, with a matcha spread. It was smooth and milky, with a rather subtle matcha flavour, and I think that the flavours were overall too subdued. Itโ€™s just not flavourful enough, a novelty item that I wouldnโ€™t prefer over any kaya toast. Their ๐Š๐š๐ฒ๐š ๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ ๐“๐จ๐š๐ฌ๐ญ was alright, but my complaint is that the toasts were rather soft, lacking a crisp bite.
