Don't be deceived by it's huge sized bowl! Their small portion is actually meant for 1 person with generous chunks of fish head flesh :9

I ordered the Garoupa Fish BeeHoon (because the staff said it has less bone and yes because I'm lazy haha, RM22). The soup is thick and creamy, really good. Remember to order their fish head noodle with BeeHoon because beehoon will absorb the soup better than any other type of noodle (they offer YeeMee as a choice too) :)

Finish it off by trying their Umpla juice (Kedondong juice, RM4.5)

Tip: cash only, child friendly, air-conditioned. They close bi-weekly every Thursday.

The Incredible Big Breakfast (RM 34.9) is really incredibly huge and satisfying! It comes with smooth and silky omelette, English muffin, pork/chicken sausage, roasted garlic tomato, baked beans topped with mozza cheese and seaweed, potato fries and the amazing sauteed mushroom and cherry tomato salad. My favourite is the sauteed mushroom and cherry tomato salad, the combination of taste was soo perfect, they topped it with Cesar salad dressing... yum!!

103 Coffee Workshop is a Japanese-Western fusion restaurant in Sri Petaling with cosy ambience and good food with reasonable price. They specialize in brewed coffee too, they do have 20% off for all coffee beverage on every Monday :)

Nasi Lemak Panas is their specialty in here. They only sell nasi lemak (RM1/packet) but you can choose the "lauk" on the counter. They have variety of lauk ranging from beef rendang (RM5/100grams) to sambal kentang (RM3). Their nasi lemak portion per packet is quite small and their sambal is not too spicy, so it's suitable if you want to bring your kids here.

There's an uncle outside the restaurant that will offer you to buy his Otak-Otak (RM1 each) and we decided to give it a try. The taste quite goes well with the nasi lemak and the lauk that we ordered, you should give a try too ;)

And, they sell Lee Chee Kang (RM4.5) too!
Quite curious and surprised about it, I decided to give it a try. But i would suggest to just skip it and stick to your normal mamak drink :p The Lee Chee Kang was rather too sweet although they are very generous with the longan, white fungus, gingko, etc.

Ambience: non-airconditioned, children friendly
Tip: cash only, pay at the counter before you eat

A zen themed Japanese restaurant located in Taipan, the restaurant is decorated with fake grasses, very peaceful and comforting.

Food wise, the quality of food is not too far away from other commercial sushi places like Sushi Zanmai and Rakuzen, it's just that they give more generous serving portion and they used fresh ingredients.

We ordered 4 pcs of Lobster Salad Roll (RM9.9) that is soo delish! There's both soft and crispy mouthfeel when you munch on this precious roll. Dip it on the soy sauce and savour! I'm a fan of Chuka Kurage (RM11.9) and the Chuka Kurage here was served generously and you can tell that it's fresh.

For those that crave for rice bowl, can try their Tori Kara Age Mayonezu Ojyu (RM14.9), it's a bowl of rice served with crispy chicken drizzled with their special mayo sauce, the chicken is soo ohsem i tell you! 😋And another highlight of the day would be their Surume Ika (RM25.9) which is a grilled whole squid with Teriyaki sauce! Chewy, soft and satisfying piece by piece of squid meat. Not salty, not heaty, just perfect (waiting time 20 minutes for this dish)

I suggest to skip their Soft Shell Crab Temaki (RM7.9), there's nothing wrong with the soft shell crab, it's just that the hand roll tasted too soggy and nothing much special about it :(

For a fresh, cooling drink, please give their Passion Fruit Soda a try. They use real passion fruit puree and they added the fruity popping bubbles (i was so addicted to it) omg!

Overall: worth to come back, definitely will come back!

Tip: cash and credit card acceptable, children friendly, friendly staff that will guide you through the menu

Parking: a little tough to find a decent one

Another Nyonya (and Thai) food place to visit! This restaurant serves real good food with a romantic dining ambience.

In the frame: Lime Chili Siakap Fish (chef recommendation - RM58), fresh and smooth siakap fish flesh combined with tangy and a little spicy Thai Lime Chili clear gravy, try scooping a spoonful of the gravy and drizzle it on top of your warm white rice.. you'll crave for more!

Sambal Petai Prawn (RM28), large fresh prawn cooked with sambal petai (stinky bean), a must try Nyonya food! No doubt, this is my favorite :)

Garlic Kailan (RM13), a simple garlic sautéed Kailan veggie, cant go wrong with any rice dishes.

Pandan Water with Basil Seed (RM2.9) and Barley Wintermelon Lime (RM4.9) are their specialty drink and a must try too! Both are very refreshing and not sweet at all, good when you want something light but want to skip the plain water.

We also tried their Red Ruby Jackfruit dessert (RM6) and Mango Sticky Rice (RM11), but nothing great as compared to Mr. Tuk Tuk's ones. So i suggest to skip those.

Ambience: Quiet, romantic, good service, child friendly

Overall: Worth to come back for the food, but not the dessert

Have your dose of awesome Nyonya food here!! I'm a big fan of Nyonya food and Naughty Nyonya didn't fail me 🙌🏻

We ordered 3 dishes for sharing (2 pax). In the frame: Nyonya Laksa (RM20) is a must try in here!! Thick, fragrant, savoury nyonya laksa soup that will tickle your tongue. I prefer this kind of laksa compared to the traditional Penang Laksa 😂. We came for lunch so they offered lunch special set for the Nyonya Laksa. The set came with pai tee and housemade tea (we choose hot jasmine tea).

Next up, Kulit Ayam Goreng Sambal Petai (RM22). It's simply crispy chicken skin cooked with stinky beans (petai) and chili. Soo soo crunchy and the combination between the chili and petai was just delishh! The portion was quite big even for 2 people sharing. Tip: In my opinion, this dish is perfect if you try to eat it with warm white rice.. nyam!

Then we decided to order kangkong belacan. The kangkong belacan was a little spicy for us but in general it was OK!

Ambience: quiet, children friendly.
Tip: cash & credit card acceptable, a little tough to find a decent parking (we double parked)
Average price: RM4-RM25
Overall: Worth to come back!

One wise advice: you might not want to come here to eat a proper meal when you're really starvingly hungry. The waiting time for the food here to be on your table was more than 30 minutes!

Actually they have lots of interesting foods that categorized under their chef specials such as drunken mussels and their Italian baked rice, unfortunately many of their chef specials were not available today. So I end up trying their other chef special 400 grams Grilled Pork Chop (RM28.8). The pork chop uses US pork meat and is grilled to medium rare doneness. It was OK at first, tender, juicy meat at the side of the pork chop, but when I went to dig in the centre part, it was still so red and raw.. I decided not to finish it at last due to health concern.

Another chef special on the menu is Spicy Pork Pizza (RM24.8). The pizza was thin crusted and enough for 2 people sharing. If you are a mozzarella cheese maniac, you'll love this dish, if not, this pizza will leave you with "jelat" feeling after as they put a very thick layer of mozzarella cheese. Not to my surprise, i couldn't taste (or spot) the pork meat bits in the pizza, it's basically a spicy mozzarella pizza I would say.

Smoked Salmon Salad (RM18.8) is another chef special menu. They use balsamic vinegar as the salad dressing and topped the salad with smoked salmon slices. The salad taste was nothing special I would say, the smoked salmon smell still a bit fishy albeit they smoked it.

The drinks that they recommend to me were their Papas Classic Lime Juice (RM8.8) and Hot Chocolate (RM6.8). The lime juice is basically a glass of lemonade, kinda sweet like the sweet taste from lemonade syrup. The hot chocolate was nothing great too, not too sweet, normal chocolate drink taste.

Ambience: Smoking & pub ambience (expect to smell like cigarette smoke after your meal), air-conditioned

Tip: Cash & credit card accepted, they have reserved parking for their customers

Overall: I wouldnt come back for their proper meal. But maybe will try their cocktails and finger foods in the future.

If you are a person who often go for nasi goreng kampung in mamak, Aliff Reataurant in Sri Petaling has an OK taste of nasi goreng kampung (rm5).

The drink that i ordered is kinda special, it's called susu pisang (rm5). They use condensed milk to make the susu and add blended banana on it, not too sweet, very thick and nice (i haven't really try such drink in any mamak before)

Tip: cash only, non-air conditioned

The curry noodle (RM6.5) here tastes very very home cooked and less saltier than ones you can find out there. The soup is thick and real comforting :) I also ordered their chicken rice (RM6.5), the chicken in tender and juicy although it is breast meat (p.s I'm usually not a fan of breast meat, but i decided to give it a try). The interesting part is the rice. Instead of using garlic oil rice (油饭) like what usual chicken rice restaurants do, they uses herbs for their rice, tastes like Hainanese Chicken Rice instead and it's really delish 😂 They also serves free chicken stock soup which you can taste that it's really coming from real chicken meat stock, not from chicken stock cube (no thirsty feeling after that)

Paired with refreshing coconut water (RM4.6) that you'll drink straight from the coconut fruit, they'll ask you if you preferred it to be at room temperature or chilled.

Aanddd, they also serve Cendol for just RM2...Everyday!! 👍🏻

Tip: cash only, non-air conditioned, children friendly

Bukhara Briyani (RM14) is the famous dish in here, so I decided to give their chicken Bukhara Briyani a try. The briyani comes with acar, sambal egg, and dhal that complements very well with the briyani rice, however the chicken was a bit dry. The portion was super huge that you can possibly share with your friend :)

Tip: open 24 hours, cash only, air-conditioned room available

Q East West restaurant specializes in beef noodles. They are also known as KB beef noodles in which their noodles originate from Kota Bahru!

I ordered their minced meat dry noodle (RM14) in which they gave me a serving of thickly cut beef soup along side. The taste of the noodle is quite similar to the Ipoh beef noodle you can find in Lot10 food court i would say, except this one has more fried onion flavour. The soup is very nice though, very thick and they are very much generous with the beef chunks serving.

If you are "heaty" you should also try their hawthorn liong sui (san cha tea, RM5), which is not sweet at all and very refreshing to be consumed alongside your bowl of beef noodles.

Price range: RM 8-15 per dish
Ambience: Air-conditioned, children friendly

You may no longer found this shop at its original spot in Taipan as this restaurant has move further down the road with a new name Taipan Yong Tau Fu. Despite the changes, their yong tau fu taste was still as amazing as before!!

I like how they design the menu in such they offered set meal that can cater either 1-2 pax, 3-5 pax, etc to minimize confusion of what to order. I ordered the yong tau fu set meal A for 1-2 pax (RM32.8) and also a glass of 3 flavour calamansi king drink (RM3.8).

The yong tau fu set consists of 1 pcs of assam fish, a plate of mixed yong tau fu dishes, a plate of oyster sauce lettuce, 2 pcs of fried dumplings and 2 pcs of pandan leaf wrapped chicken. I really like the pandan leaf chicken as the chicken is not too dry and very tasty. Assam fish is also a dish that normal yong tau fu place usually don't serve, however the taste was just OK, not too mindblowing.

The yong tau fu platters taste almost similar to the one i tasted in Puchong, except they never serve it with soup for this particular set (I prefer it to be served with soup). However, the calamansi drink that I ordered was supposed to be a kumkuat juice, it's just that much more thicker and less sweet than other restaurants'.

Ambience: Non-airconditioned, very crowded during meal time especially dinner, smoking is allowed outside.

Parking: Tough to find parking spot.
