Here I go again with my "aglio olio" trend. Tried the Char-Siew chicken pasta at YBR since Balik Kampung was out. (The waiter joked that the kitchen was still trying to catch the chicken)
Ended up with one of their best sellers. But it didn't impress me much. Big portion nevertheless. I just wished there's more chicken and the pasta was less oily. It could be more chewy/al dente too. It was just slightly mushy for me that day. Still, it was flavoured very nicely with the right heat!
Plus points for being sited in front of the coffee bar to eye on cute baristas. YBR have cute baristas. For real. 😳

Or maybe it's time for brunch since it's already noon.
Head over to real food for REAL FOOD 😜. Get over Monday blues with this refreshing muesli, of soy yogurt, bananas, apples, berries, and oats all mixed together to form a comforting blend.
If you're the type that doesn't mind the little seed textures of raspberries and blackberries, you will definitely love this!
But bummer! I was supposed to get an "organic" cookie on the side but I didn't. Got diced apples and bananas instead 😢

Hello autumn.
With Autumn, this means we get pumpkins and all the delicious root vege in supermarkets!
Although we don't experience four seasons in Malaysia, we can still enjoy the crops that are in season!
Delicious and pure pumpkin soup (but quite like a pumpkin purée) with a hint of spices for that kick. I have an inkling that it's curry powder because I could really taste the slight curry taste.
Served with a side of sourdough toasts to clean your plate with!
Food: 8/10 Price: 7/10 (RM 12 - now this one is quite reasonably priced for me)
Coffee is served with soy!
Organic mushroom aglio olio pasta with a dash of chilly. (Option to omit chilly if you don't like spicy)
Very minimal oil used proven when presented with a humble shine. Nicely al dente pasta with good portion for a very satisfying lunch. And also delicious mushroom medley stir fried nicely with the right earthy taste.
Food: 8/10 Price: 5/10 (RM 22 - Yes because it's organic it's overly charged. Only criticism is the price for food here)

WWE is smacked in the middle of the centre sidewalk in between Souled Out and Cubs & Cups doggy cafe, they are a unique "street food" stall with gourmet food you'd find in fancy restaurants.
Opened by two high school buddies and the chef is formerly from the familiar Japanese restaurant, Nobu.
The Wagyu steak I had comes with cold soba, a side of grilled root vegetables, and some housemade Japanese sauce for the steak. Such a juicy piece of meat I would definitely come back for more. Nicely seasoned with salt & pepper. Flavour was enhanced by the housemade sauce. Make sure you dip them steak in!
Definitely would try the Wagyu burger and chicken slider next time around.
Food: 8/10 Price: RM 26/100g - minimum order 200g only (basically RM 52 for a basic piece of Wagyu)

Non halal cafe. Delicious menu overall with porky bacon and sausages for their all day breakfast menu, to pastas and sandwiches that looks very appetising.
I went with their famous "chu yao char" aglio olio. Supposedly served with angel hair pasta but I opted for the fatter brother named spaghetti. Basically an aglio olio with deep fried pork lard that are usually found in Pork noodles or hokkien noodles.
Really delicious in my opinion. Generous Pork lard that you will never have first worlds problem of having too little, big portion of pasta noodles for a really filling lunch. However, it is slightly too oily for me. Thank God for a few sprigs of rockets to cleanse the palate and some table water.
Food: 8/10 Price: 8/10 (RM 18 - this is darn worth it for such a filling and delicious portion)
So many more choices and a few improvements on their menu.
One of their new item is the Big Boss. It is simply an open faced sandwich, with turkey ham, bacon(?) and eggs served on top of charcoal buns with a spread of cream cheese. I didn't like the cream cheese (or butter, I'm not really sure) because they tasted weird and a little too much. Great #eggyolkporn though!
On the sides are sweet potato fries and potato salad, as well as some tomato dipping sauce.
The hams were rather salty and I didn't really like it. Love the sweet potato fries as usual. And I'm not sure if it's just me, but having charcoal bread gives me some stomach discomfort - or was it just this whole dish's combo.
Food: 6/10 Price: 6/10 (RM 23.90 - to be reconfirmed)
