A seemingly basic bowl of ramen, the light tasting broth slowly grows on you with each spoonful, leaving you savouring every last drop of it w/o the jelat feel. 🍜

This fancy version of bandung is simply rose syrup added into milk tea. The subtle scent of alisan tea lingered in the aftertaste & pretty as it may look, this beverage sure is diabetes-inducing as a few slurps in got me hastily adding large amounts of water to dilute it... 🙊

Oozy sous vide egg nestled atop generous slices of medium done wagyu beef accompanied by a special yogurt sauce at the side. The redness of the meat did scare me off a lil initially, thank god there isn’t any gamey taste just soft, tender goodness. Despite some of the dissatisfactory reviews here, I actually enjoyed my budget beef bowl & would certainly be back for more. 🥩🍚

With a stroke of luck, we got to try Shirogoma when the SA informed us that Goma was oos and temporary replaced by this limited edition flavour. Its rich and creamy taste combined with the grainy texture of grounded sesame delighted my tastebuds to no end. Wishing this could take up a permanent spot on the menu as it has now claimed the top spot amongst the other flavours...🍦

Rich & good just like its name suggests, this is arguably the best swiss roll you can find in Sg. Loved the thick layers of fragrant kaya encased within soft, moist cake. I’d tried a handful of other flavours but ultimately, Kaya still has my heart. 💕

There is no better way to describe this than to imagine biting into the innards of an egg tart, w/o the crust that is. That’s no surprise as they’re essentially made of the same ingredients. Texture-wise, there’s still room for improvement on achieving a smoother consistency. Nonetheless, it’s still a good substitute for days when you reminisce about the good ol ones you’d tasted in HK...

Joined the queue with high hopes for this after seeing Eatbook’s recommendation. While the noodles were cooked to the perfect texture & black fungus strips as well as braised mushrooms were added, this bowl certainly did not wow me as much as I thought it would. My all-time favourites are still L32 geylang’s & poon nah’s. Upon seeing other burpplers’ reviews, it might be cus I got the non-spicy version and their chilli is supposedly the star of this dish. I might just be back to give the chilli version another try...

Go early around 5+pm I’d suggest or be prepared to be greeted with a queue when you arrive. Generous portions of meat, liver, tau gey, kang kong, cockles & tau pok, drenched in thick rich peanut gravy, there’ll be more than sufficient ingredients to go with each mouthful of noodle you. Devoured this plate of glorious mess under 10min. 😋 (p.s. I’m surprised this stall has yet to have its own burpple page.)

Marinated & roasted to perfection, the fatty/ end parts of the char siew were the yummiest. Springy noodles were coated with pork oil, so fragrant it can be eaten on its own. The mini bowl of soup served alongside was so so sweet we had to get refills. One of the better places in SG to get your roast delight fix. 🍖

Despite being tucked away in the back alleys of Bugis, this old school dessert place attracts a constant long queue. Spontaneously decided to try something different, this tiny bowl delighted us with its milky goodness. My pals exclaimed that the papaya pieces resembled tapioca as it was rather bland, probably due to being soaked for long hours. Would order this again although I wish portions were more generous.

Rainy weather beckons for a soupy meal. Unlike the usual oil-soaked, numbingly spicy version, this light & slightly milky ox bone broth offers a healthier alternative which allowed us to slurp away guilt-free. Choice of pork broth is available as well. 🐮🐷

Disappointed by the measly portion & thin, watery gravy served... The only saving grace for this bowl of letdown was the fresh, plump cockles. Overrated much, this will be my first & last time here. 😕
