Finally got some time to check out Casa's pizza ๐Ÿ• offerings. They have this good deal of 12' pizza served with garlic bread, salad and soft drinks (or wine or beer) for 2 at Rs.2000+. Since I was with a vegetarian friend, went for the vegetarian pizza with half & half option. One half was Quatro Stragioni (tomato ๐Ÿ… + artichoke + olives + mushrooms etc.). I can't remember the name of the other half. It was OK. Very thin crust though. Refreshing addition to their menu.

Part of the Zaza bar menu (which can be ordered at T-republic too). One of the few vegetarian options and it's pretty good. Casa has never disappointed me with food and ambiance. 5-7pm is happy hours, and there's a buy one get one free offer for food items, which is great! (Rs.450 for this dish)

AK's take on everyone's favorite Biriyani. Flavorful rice (that includes tempered onion, herbs, spices and potatoes) served with grilled tender chicken, raita, gravy/sauce and kind of a crunchy bread (like papadam). For Rs.390 (plus taxes), it's a filling meal & a good change to try in Colombo, which is filled with so many Indian Biriyani options.

Prawns, fish, and calamari rings, all batter fried and served with lime, dips, salad and potato wedges. Not the best tasting seafood dish in town. But still a good option to taste the variety & share among friends. Priced at Rs.1100.

I usually don't like the food at the office cafeteria. But, they serve fruits. When you don't feel like eating anything heavy, some fruits will do the trick.

Nothing beats a glass of "Kiri Kopi" on a rainy evening, by the seaside..

Coffee Stop serves some tasty snacks - specially pies & pastries. I'm not a huge fan of their seating arrangements. But overall it's a nice place. Pastries and pies cost around Rs. 140 each; expensive - yes, but they're tasty and large in size too. Also note that there is a minimum bill amount per person if you visit after 7.30 pm.

That's my simple dinner plate. Bread from the nearby Bakery, served with Dumbala Karam (Andhra style deep fried crispy potatoes), & fried egg.

It was another "make your own dinner" kinda day. So I decided to put my cooking skills to test. And the result was an Andhra style deep fried crispy potato dish - Dumbala Karam.

Traditional Indian ice cream, topped with a sprinkle of crushed pistachio, and served in a little clay pot. Pretty amazing. Also this is one of the few places that serve Kulfi in Colombo.

Perfect thirst quencher on a hot day!

Just the right portion for a healthy dish. And a filling meal too.
