Probably my favourite side among those we ordered. The vegetables were thoroughly cooked, but still retained a nice crunch. They were also remarkably flavourful, a rarity in vegetable side dishes. Would recommend this if you're usimg your @burpple set deal here!

Got this as one of our sides. It'a quite value-for-money as it's basically an entire wooden pot of smashed avocado. I'm not even a big avocado fan, but I thought this was pretty good.

Wasn't very impressed with their tempura. It's cold because it isn't fried upon order. The tempura batter is also hard and stale, rather than light and fluffy.

The chicken gyoza was not bad! The meat inside was soft, even though the dumpling skin wasn't warm anymore.

Got this as part of the 1-for-1 dinner set using @burpple !

I chose herbed potatoes and vegetables as my 2 sides. Other options for sides include coleslaw, salad, mashed potatoes and mushroom rice.
The herbed potatoes were my favourite. Well-cooked potatoes coated in a caramelised dark soy sauce - very flavourful and with a good bite. The boiled veggies were a miss for me. They were still hard and didn't have any taste at all.

The steak was not bad! It was cooked to the right doneness. My main gripe would be that the garlic chunks in the garlic sauce were very large and I found myself having to scrape them off. Overall, great value for money. If you get the steak and herbed potatoes, you just may be a repeat customer.

I finally braved the queue and waited in line to try this highly-acclaimed Western stall. I would have liked for the pasta sauce to be tastier, and felt that overall there was nothing much to shout about. However, at this price point, given the fresh seafood and generous portion, it's hard to beat. I can understand the hype, but I'm not a convert.

Couldn't resist trying a don from their range of mini rice bowls, which are affordably priced ($4 to 6). Large slices of fresh salmon, a generous tablespoon of ikura and a bowl of well-seasoned Japanese rice. Yum!

Been loving this coconut milkshake. It's super refreshing. The body of the shake is more milk/vanilla-flavoured, with fresh chunks of coconut flesh mixed in. I was afraid it would taste too strongly of coconut milk but that wasn't the case at all.

I was craving frozen yoghurt but they ran out of the original flavour so I tried bandung. I'm not usually a bandung fan but the flavour is quite mild and very pleasant. Got it with my favourite cookie sauce.

Got the sanuki beef egg udon which came with strips of tender sukiyaki beef and an onsen egg. Pleasantly surprised by how tasty the beef was. Sorry you can't see it in my pic because it's obscured by all the seaweed and tempura bits I helped myself to 😋

Got their dinner set (main + tempura + drink) 1-for-1 using @burpple ! Was about $14 for 2 people. Ambience isn't great but it's an affordable meal in town.

Got the dinner set (main + side + drink) 1-for-1 using Burpple Beyond. Choosing the midrange options, it would be about $30-40 for 2 people. Quite worth it!

They're having a 1-for-1 promotion for their fish cakes in soup now. This is my favourite way to eat these Korean fishcakes. The soup was slightly saltier than what I'm used to, but I did get these at the end of the day right before closing time. Texture and flavour of the amooks were great. Would get it again.
