The mochi skin was very soft and supple. Although I don't usually love red bean paste, theirs was smooth and light, and not grainy/thick at all. Would get this again.

Woke up bright and early to cart these out but I had too many things to order and too little time. Didn't manage to snag their filled donuts but thankfully I was able to score some of their plain cinnamon sugar ones!

They are indeed very fluffy and chewy. In fact, I kind of liked that they were simple and there was no filling to detract from the texture of the donuts.

Sorry I didn't re-plate it. Not as aesthetic as dining in, but the portion was quite generous and they gave an ample amount of sauce such that most of the fluffy Japanese rice was covered. Lots of soft scrambled egg and unagi as well!

Decided to try my hand at making a Korean Seafood Pancake as I was craving Korean food yesterday. Looked up a bunch of recipes and improvised for the rest. Added julienned carrots, sliced spring onion stalks, prawns and diced white onion. Flavour was good, although I would have liked it thinner and more crispy! :
Ingredients
1/2 cup plain flour
1/2 cup rice flour
1 cup water
Finely sliced veggies eg. onion, carrots, spring onions
Assorted seafood eg. prawns (can also use clams, scallops)
Finely minced garlic
2 tsp light soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil

Steps
1. Mix plain flour, rice flour and water together. Add more water to get a runnier texture if you like your pancake more crispy. Add soy sauce and sesame oil. Stir well to mix.
2. Saute a pinch of minced garlic with the finely sliced veggies in some oil
3. Add some of the pancake batter (from step 1) over the veggies, being careful not too create too thick a pancake
4. Flip once nicely browned on one side
5. Serve and enjoy!
6. Repeat to make more pancakes.

I had these in Hong Kong when they were fresh out of the oven - which was, as you can imagine, divine. The ones here in Singapore still taste good even after being refrigerated, which is a feat in itself. Their tart crust is biscuity and buttery, and their egg custard bouncy and silky. A quick and affordable treat.

Looks real funky, I'll admit. But it's not as daunting as I expected. The pandan flavour is prominent but not overwhelming or unpleasant in any way. I do prefer the classic, but this is worth a try.

Sounds like a winning combination in theory: chocolatey oreo bits, sugary white chocolate glaze and a fluffy doughnut. Unfortunately, the pastry was a little less airy than I would have liked, and overall wasn't so satisfying to bite into.

Have been on quite the dessert hunt this Circuit Breaker. Couldn't resist ordering a box of brownies for myself. Loved the cute packaging, crackly brownie tops and fudgy cores. We finished most of it shortly after we received the delivery, but realised they were even more chocolatey and chewy after being refridgerated!
