Matcha Toast $12.90, topped with a scoop of matcha gelato and azuki at the side. Toast was buttery but a tad too sweet to me, seems like sugar was added within the toast because we could feel the crunch in every bite. Matcha ice cream was light & bland otherwise it would make a good toast. ๐๐ต Anyway having the real deal tmr in bkk!
Had a whole lot of seafood goodness 499 baht (S$19) with their signature sauce, sea bomb. It actually taste like tom yum curry, damn addictive. ๐
Uber and GrabCar has been a kick ass transport for us throughout this trip ๐๐ผ. CODE is a rather cosy and pretty dessert cafe to chill, serving bingsu, cakes, crossiants and lava toasts. In frame is the Thai Tea Lava Toast (175 baht/ $6.80). Toast was kinda bland, thought it would be better with a little butter within. Otherwise, the Thai tea lava was pretty good. #codedessert *there's the other outlet at Siam paragon! #mychefstable
The highlight of Torimaru is ramen packed with collagen that is extremely nourishing. With 4 variations (Original, Shoyu, Spicy and Tsukemen), the toppings include chicken breast charshu, homemade chicken meat balls, soft boiled eggs and Japanese leek. Love the tender chicken breast and its low fat content. With no pork no lard, enjoy pure chicken goodness in this rich chicken broth at all Ramen Champion stores.
Of course you may go ahead without the champagne at $58 per pax. Available all weekends till the end of June, 1130am - 3pm. |

It comprises of chicken sausage, chorizo, prawns, potatoes in tomato sauce, then topped with some glorious scrambled eggs. My eyes are fixed on their steak and eggs next ๐ค

Similar to a hot pot experience, the ingredients are freshly steamed using the innovative culinary technique of high-speed steaming. This is also one of the few places in Singapore to enjoy dim sum dishes that are steamed upon order at your table such as liu sha bao.

With 2 types of congee to pick, I prefer the congee w dried scallop and clams while it contains a hint sweetness from the scallop. Being cooked at the bottom, the essence of these ingredients are collected below the steaming plate to cook the accompanying congee. This is comfort food. ๐๐ผ
Cause waffles and ice cream makes everything better โ especially with brรปlรฉed nanas and popcorn thrown into the mix. Had ours with double scoops (duh) of Salted Caramel with Brownie and Earl Grey Lavender, both of which were fantastic. The first had a lovely balance of flavours and was just creamy enough, while the latter was so so fragrant, easily among the best earl grey ice cream I've had. Waffle was neither as fluffy nor crisp as I'd like, but considering the stellar ice cream we got, I can close an eye or two.
My mum ordered the signature rice bowl-foie gras was perfect melt-in-your-mouth texture, and the beef was a lovely medium rare. Personally, I felt the bowl was a tad bit rich, but this is definitely a must for meat-lovers! The truffle sauce was minimal so it wasn't overpowering, and the runny yolk mixed really well with the rice as well! Yummy!
My favorite Grilllo Signature Bowl is the Truffle Short Rib Bowl โ a sous vide then pan seared USDA Prime beef with a slow cooked egg, crunchy garlic bits and drizzled with truffle wafu sauce. Since this is a beef bowl, I appreciate that high quality beef that is tender and flavorful was used!
Soft & fluffy buckwheat pancake, berry fruit compote, passionfruit curd, cornflake crumb, thyme infused maple syrup, edible flowers [S$18.50] at The Populus Coffee, Neil Road.
The Eggs Jupiter $15.90 was surprisingly not too jerlat but I would suggest to share ๐ณ
