My Noodles with Double Roast I finally tried their noodle but its not bad tbh even I didn't opt out for another noodle variation ($13) tbh. Char Siew is tender enough with "fat" whereas lor bah skin really crispy and crunchy enough but the meats really tough to chew through. I really grateful that they don't have gst or service charge to cover up.

My Truffle Oil Noodles | $10.90 Earthy and flavourful, perfecr with soft boiled egg. When it was served, the truffle aroma lingers in your nose. However after a few mouthful the truffle seem to dissipates. Egg noodles which was made from scratch was chewy, and had a nice al dente texture which I like. Wish there was some minced meat which could go along. Would come back for the noodle.

Duck Confit This dish boasts such high standards that when you encounter an average one, your mood spoils. Quite tragic the folks who popularised duck confit in Singapore are cooking an average duck confit.

Chilli Crab Squid Ink Pasta They aren't known for portion so let's get that out of the way. The sauce and crabmeat were both fine but I got really puzzled why squid ink. Mind you, only the spaghetti is made of squid ink, there's no actual squid ink, so it's completely negligible.

Original Outlet’s The Best Squid ink pasta topped with crab meat and onsen egg was mad delicious! It’s 1-1 on entertainer as well!

Economical Rice Pork chop, minced meat, mushrooms. Their pork chop is the deep-fry until like biscuit kind. Wide variety of dishes here.

Sponge Gourd Most Teochew porridge and caifan stalls only serve hairy gourd. Here they also have sponge gourd, which is similar but more substantial in the bite.

Lunch for 2 Fresh fish! but the rest of the dishes were just alright.. Not the best of all, but its a good try if you are around the vicnintg

Speculoo Cupcake I am in 2 minds about this cupcake. I love the centre which consist of a core of speculoo paste. I love the taste of lotus biscoff. The part I am undecided is that the cream and cake part is also quite sweet. While I like this cupcake, it got a little too much towards the end. I think I don't have a sweet tooth. So it might work for those who really love sweet stuff.

Red Velvet Cupcake Ah this cupcake is too sweet for me. Maybe those with sweet tooth will like it.

Chocolate Cupcake with rich Icing Between the Red Velvet Nutella and the Chocolate Orange Salted Caramel (pictured on the bottom half), I’ll go with the latter. A very moist cupcake, with a dab of salted caramel centre, the tangy liquorish was a nice of kick to the chocolate icing. It’s a little on a pricey side for $4 a muffin or ($20 for 6), but overall a nice cupcake I might come back for from time to time. *Note: my taste palate leans towards dark bitter chocolate at a sweet spot of 65%-72% cocoa. So please use that as a gauge of my taste perspective.

Le STEAK Ordered ribeye steak well done but unfortunately it came a bit medium rare. Blood Reddish in the centre. :(

Black Pork Ramen The pork slices were tender and super porky. The pork taste was pleasant and unlike usual pork taste. Ramen egg was done nicely. However soup wasn’t amazing. Worth a try still.

Unagi Jyu ($24.90) Had this 50% off during their anniversary discount (~$12.45). Very worth it during the discount period as there were at least 4 big pieces! Juicy meat but was pretty boney though, which made it a little prickly to swallow down.

Deluxe Tampopo Black Pig Shabu Ramen ($16.90++) Ordered the Chef Recommended dish! Said that there was chilli but tbh couldn’t really taste it. Loved how the soup was rich but not oily and egg was simply perfectoooo!!! Had a sweet potato cutlet ($4++) along with the ramen was rly sweet and crispy! Would rly recommend this

Tonkotsu Ramen - with all the toppings Oh the broth was amazing and lovely. It was very rich, and I chose the normal seasoning it was a bit on the salty side for me, but still ok I just couldn’t finish all the soup it was a lot. As usual I slurped up the noodles as is the traditional way of eating ramen.

Black Tonkotsu Ramen Special | $15.90 Ramen Keisuke Tonkotsu King was my go-to ramen place a long time ago when there were much fewer ramen restaurants around, and it has been a while since I have been back. The Black Tonkotsu Ramen special is meant to be tonkotsu broth with black garlic flavour, and the more decadent option with flavoured egg, seaweed, and more chashu. I however thought that the tonkotsu broth was not as rich as I remembered it to be, and the garlic — both in aroma and taste was underwhelming. Disappointing especially since I got the black tonkotsu for the garlic punch. The egg was also sorely lacking in flavour, and the chashu was on the drier side. Rate:🌟

Tao Kuro Special It’s been awhile since my last visit to Ippudo for their ramen. Was at River Valley area and decided to come here for some ramen craving. The Tao Kuro features a thick, chewy noodle; which you could choose the hardness. It is served in their original tonkotsu broth, topped with slices of pork belly chashu, flavoured black fungus, lots of spring onion and umami-dama (a special blend of miso paste and garlic oil).

Akamaru Shinaji ($16) Bought a chope voucher to try this at $9.90 nett. For tamago you would have to top up $3. Abit pricey. The noodle texture is great, but the soup is a bit salty. I would still prefer Santouka Shio for soup and Ichiran for best overall ramen.

Garlic-ky Yums!!! Taste: Garlic Pork Broth Ramen. The meat melted in my mouth and the wobbly egg just taste sooo good. Broth was rich and palatable. Simply yummy. Noodles were cooked to the right texture and hardness. Great combination of all the ingredients. Atmosphere: Clean and well-maintained store. Simple furnishing and soothing to the eyes. Service: Staff was very friendly and prompt to response. Food was served within 10 minutes. Great service! Price: ~$16 Where to find this place: Near UE Square

Tokusen Miso Those people in early days would familiar with this Sapporo style ramen place. Sapporo Ramen Miharu used to be at former Gallery Hotel before moving to Millenia Walk, and closed earlier. Moving forward to present day, they actually came back once again. Recently Meidi-Ya brought them back under their new food court at Millenia Walk. So now you could continue to enjoy their signature ramen, like the one I gotten; which is no.1 item on the menu for the past 25 years. This authentic flavours of Sapporo ramen was very tasty and rich taste of miso broth. Filled with lots of ingredients such as the egg, sliced pork and corns.

Shoyu Ramen (seafood & fish-based) Miharu boasts an extensive selection of ramen bases - I was spoilt for choice. I eventually chose seafood shoyu ramen while my friend picked fish shoyu ramen. Perhaps my order was confused with my friend’s, but the seafood shoyu ramen tasted heavily of bonito whereas the fish ramen was much lighter. I ended up swapping ramen bowls with my friend bc I preferred her lighter soup. I was a tad disappointed - I saw alot of reviews praising their food, but I thought it was pretty average. For their price point ($17-18), I could’ve tried places with better quality. Nonetheless, I still finished the entire bowl. A plus point would be their egg - a perfectly molten center with a salty touch from it’s marination.

Black Garlic Oil Ramen $18! Ramen was packed with garlic fragrance and soup was very rich. Noodles stayed firm throughout the meal. This new ramen is definitely worth a try!
