I totally love this combination. Great pit stop. Enjoy their coffee or other local beverage. The drinks were little exp as it costed 720yen for hot coffee. But all is worth it.

For every order, it came with one main course and buffet for only 1500Yen. The most worth it meal we had in Japan. Each dish in the meal tasted excellent. Fresh air in the country side and river running in the back ground. Lovely way to relax and enjoy the lunch. It came to as close as a life changing experience. Don’t leave here without their dessert and coffee! .

It was all for the design. Fresh squeezed cream with matcha base. My conclusion: it was a “dream-y” drink.
Our first lunch in Kyoto, having this idea of “go big or go home” in mind, we chose the most expensive lunch in the restaurant. 5000Yen A pax! Total of 9 to 11 course of seasonal veg. Similar to our fine dinning experience. Their broth was so comforting and leading us to want more. Maybe our expectation was a little too high, resulted in an not so satisfying lunch. Most of the time we were not sure what we were eating as the lack of explanation. If anyone want the kyoto experience, I would recommend the bento version instead as we saw many locals eating that.

One rice with four other side dishes. Local grown greens and detailed preparation. Free flow top up of rice (which I love it). Please go them in your breakfast option. .

Total of 110 dishes for you to choose from. All parts from a beef and wide selection of pork and chicken. Meat lover heaven. You might find many Cantonese speaking foodies as it was highly recommended by HK media. Good local beef and fresh veg. I would recommend while BBQ the meat, let it rest a while before cutting. Meanwhile, you could try their cooked food. .
The only downside was that we felt like been BBQ as it was really smoky. And do remember to make a booking, if not it will be a VERY LONG wait. .

Thanks to the crowd and never ending Q. They served one of the freshest fish in town. Affordable pricing and English menu available. For all the food you saw costed us 10550yen. You could choose to brush on the soy sauce on your own. This avoid any amateur chopstick user from dropping their sushi on the sauce plate. Highly recommend their clams miso soup and hand roll. 😋😋😋

They prided of their Traditional Breakfast Set and Affordable price. We ordered the breakfast salmon set, grilled sliced pork set and saba fish set. The cheapest was 380Yen. Voucher machine order method and quick service. They even provided WiFi. Good option if most places are closed. .

Google: Miyamoto Munashi for their outlets.
Frequent by locals and the owner welcome tourists like us. We went with the recommendation of the owner.
All the food you saw and 3 drinks costed us S$80. The food was perfectly grilled. Especially their pork belly, the hidden onion slice gave the burst of sweet. The total sitting capacity was only 10 pax. So if you are traveling in group of 3 and less is ideal. .

Caramelized sauce with moist grilled eel. The taste and texture were alright but $26 for a bowl. I questioned the lack of sides and quantity.

The best front of house service I had ever experienced. Lots of takeaways. From order to actual food took only 10mins. Fried rice and quarter chicken only $18.90. Enough for two or one me. The taste wasn’t the best but it was toned down for the locals. If I were ever going back to Wellington, I would go back to this place. .

Fresh made soba and cooked in the simmering water. Inside of the hand cut soba, it is pressed out through a mold. The firm texture was lost but efficiency was increased. Garlic and ginger sauce added a layer of savory to the meaty broth. My mom said that it was ok for taste but for $15 I found it really good. .
