A newly opened outlet at Tanjong Pajar, it was a great escape from the heat. Got double scoop cup with Osmanthus Pear Sorbet and Pistachio (+$1) flavours. The latter was overly milky without much nutty taste, but the osmanthus was great! Will prefer to go for its botanical flavours of nature next time - fruits, flowers, pods, herbs, and spices.
We got the Salmon Ahumado and Baked Truffle Carbonara with #BurppleBeyond - 2 dishes @ $16.90. The pancakes were savory with corn bits inside and served with egg and salmon, while the pasta was a little too creamy for our palettes.
Ordered the charcoal waffles ($6.50) with double scoop ice cream - Mr. Potatohead (salted caramel with chocolate coated chips) and Yakult Cookie (yakult with cookie bits). The latter one had a strong yakult taste which was unique and to our liking! Both were premium flavours so there was an additional $1 each (+$4/scoop).
Housed in one of the neighbourhood coffeeshops at Yuhua, this zichar stall offers a variety of dishes. We got the Prawn Paste Chicken and Coffee Pork Ribs with #BurppleBeyond - 2 medium-sized dishes @ $20.00. Service was quite fast on a weekday evening.
Located outside of International Plaza, this restaurant serves very affordable don! We got the Bafo Don ($12.80) with a Yuzu-based homemade drink ($3.80) with #BurppleBeyond - 2 mains and drinks @ $16.60! The lady boss was very friendly and shared with us the top-selling items on the menu. Highly recommend!
Nestled in Bukit Timah Plaza, this Japanese stall had a nice cosy ambience with its wooden furniture. As it was a rainy day, ordered their seasonal special Fish Broth Ramen, which was so rich with salmon flavour. Would definitely be coming back again to try other affordable yet high quality food!
With its cute Pooh inspired theme, this cafe is definitely one to visit! There is a variety of ice cream flavours, with unique ones like Ocean Blue and Peach Basil. We ordered the usual Roasted Pistachio (additional $1 for premium flavour) and liked its creamy nutty taste!
If you are looking for homely Korean food, here's one to visit. Run by a Korean family, this is located at the ground floor of Hillview CC. Dishes rotate daily, with the day's menu featured on their IG account. We liked the beef stew, soup and their mochi waffle dessert!
Home Roasted Pistachio was one of the best pistachio flavours ever with a strong nutty flavour! There's an additional one dollar for this premium flavour, but it's worth it.
With a choice of up to 2 bases, 7 toppings and 2 poke, this was a satisfying healthy bowl! Just seeing the rainbow colours was enough to make us happy, what more the delightful taste. The place was quite empty on a weekday afternoon, suitable to chill and work.
Served with scrambled eggs and bacon bits, the French toast was drenched with butter. It was flavourful but slightly too oily. Did not order any drinks as the cafe does not serve any milk alternatives like oat milk. We enjoyed the nice ambience of the cafe decorated with antique furniture!
Yummy breakfast toast set! Ordered teh gao siew dai and really love how strong the tea taste was! The bread was spread with enough butter and kaya. Would prefer this to Toast Box and Ya Kun!
