As you can tell, we had a feast and what really got me was the soya sauce chicken and then roast pork - both of which were crazy tender, succulent and full of flavor. The roast pork had a nice crackling to it as well. This is now my favorite soya sauce chicken joint. #burpple

I happened to be at @ion_orchard in the morning and decided to see if the queues had started - and they had not! I quickly ordered the King Fone as recommended by the staff - very fragrant oolong topped with a cheesy foam. I prefer this rendition of the drink as compared to the other bubble tea outlets as the balance of salty and sweet was quite perfect. I heard they opened at Paragon too so the queues might have eased. #heyteasg #burpple

When I laid eyes on this dish in the menu, I knew I had to order it. Nothing beats a handmade pasta in (the umami bomb of a) crustacean sauce (think a reduced super intense seafood bisque) with perfectly roasted mussels and prawns. I finished this in no time despite being quite full when I started. I only wished it had just a bit more sauce in it to keep the surface of the pasta more luscious when I got to the last bits. The 2 oyster ramen dishes and some oyster based side dishes are exclusive to their new outlet.
I ordered the chawanmushi with oyster paste. I will put it out there that I have not eaten a whole lot of chawanmushi but this has to be the best iteration of it I have ever tried. The egg custard is cooked to where it just reached the point of solidification and putting your spoon into it breaks it up into small pieces but almost feels like soup when you put it into your mouth. The oyster paste takes the unassuming looking cup of egg custard to a crazy new level of umami. You smile again and again with each mouthful you take, until the cup empties itself. I was pretty full after my meal, but I kept thinking about another chawanmushi. I hope they maintain this standard of cooking! #burpple #konjikihototogisusg

The kombucha was fermented twice, and was pretty intense - I appreciated that it didn’t seem diluted and had all the goodness and fizz from the fermentation. Definitely worth a try. #burpple #projectacai

Put simply, it tastes like a dish you’d find at Burnt Ends put between two slices of amazing rye bread and served at the most awesome sandwich shop - Park Bench Deli. The beef was tender and full of flavor, so much luxury in the marrow, and the cheddar and horse radish helped cut the richness of the sandwich.
I have been eating at @parkbenchdeli since they first popped up at SAVOUR many years ago with their PBJ and followed them to most places and it has and will continue to be one the places I find comfort in when I need freaking awesome sandwiches that will not fail me.
Grab your Beef and Marrow at PBD now till the end of December. Go early because there are only 25 portions/day and it was sold out by 12ish in the afternoon today.

Served in two spoons topped with uni, in the typically simple yet luxurious cuisine of The Naked Finn. They really need to make a version of this in a bowl. I’d order that in an instant. #burpple #thenakedfinn

Pictured here is the sea salt and cafe latte twist (recommended by the server). The texture of the soft serve was good, and doesn’t melt quickly; both flavors were not bad individually but the combination was a little strange to me. Also, I don’t think the salt really contributes much to the flavor of the soft serve. Interesting but not fantastic I’d say, worth a try but I probably won’t be back. #burpple #aquassg
