Curious about the flavour of a Japanese cherry blossom or Sakura, I decided to try out the new seasonal Sakura kakigori from this eponymous popular Malaysian dessert bar(its Pavilion KL outpost specifically). The taste of the pink shaved ice is unique, it is something of a dull mild sweetness and the slight tartness you reminiscent of sour plums and pickled fruit. The smell of it was similar to sour plum, but I realise it is because edible Sakura flowers are usually pickled in Japanese cuisine. The sakura syrup was evenly distributed throughout the shaved ice and I was honestly in awe at how uniformly tiny each ice crystal in the kakigori was, making it extremely easy and enjoyable to savour it by the mouthful. This kakigori also has a creamy espuma layer with red bean paste and a green tea jelly shaped like a large seed at the top, middle and bottom and an edible pickled sakura leaf which was fragrant and slightly salty which cut through the sweetness of the dessert just fine. .

The banchan are not refillable for value sets though 😢. Pretty well-cooked instant noodles with an al dente texture and the seaweed pieces were a nice touch. The topokki was alright and the banchan were okay. This isn't very filling though so I would recommend their rice dishes as they come with a steamed egg or their bibimbap set. Service was good and friendly as always.

If you love afternoon tea and have a crazy sweet tooth, this is a hi tea you should not miss. A long table greets you at the restaurant decked out with a sumptuous spread of sweet delights. Cakes(cream, cheese, mousse, torte, you name it), macarons, madeleines, eclairs, tarts, mousse, biscuits and cookies are seen on the main table. Next to it is a table with plenty of a teatime staple, English scones with jam and fresh clotted cream. Next to it is an novel dish where you can prepare a glass of broken biscuits topped with either a mango or a chocolate espuma(foam). Another table sits next to the scones table topped with milk chocolate, white chocolate and dark chocolate pralines. There was fresh gelato and a savoury noodle station. Afternoon tea is not really complete without freshly steeped tea and there is an alcove with a variety of luxury loose leaf tea for you to select and drink to your heart's content. The savoury selection doesn't end with noodles as there is an ala carte buffet selection of small plates of specially curated savoury dishes like salad, pasta, pastries, dim sum and morsels of meat and fish. I highly enjoyed this buffet although I would only recommend it to those who want a buffet of mostly dessert and can withstand high amounts of sweet food! I would rate this 10/10, the restaurant is pretty amazing, service and all and the view is top notch.

The regular portions were enough for 4 people to share provided you order enough dishes and we especially love the Tung Po Meat and it's melt-in-your-mouth layer of fat and tender meat. We like to dip the flower buns into the Tung Po Meat's gravy too 😋 Service was prompt and the food is excellent as usual. This restaurant is relatively famous in PJ/KL for serving authentic and delicious Malaysian Chinese Cuisine. I rate this a 8/10 because the prices for its vegetable dishes are crazy high(they start at RM23 😵)

I chose Mango with almond topping and a cone(toppings and cone have a surcharge). It was quite fresh and delicious without being cloyingly sweet. Also loved that this ice cream isn't very hard so it can be easily eaten on a cone. I think it was RM12+ for it all? I would rate it 8/10 as the variety isn't that good right now but the portion is quite generous.

The mushrooms and simmered onions gave this ricebowl some nice bulk and the chicken katsu was crisp and tender. I didn't manage to take a video of some egg porn or a jiggle but I'll make sure to do that next time I order this! 9/10 would definitely order but get the L size if you're really hungry.

You are given a small bowl of a special sauce to pour generously on this colourful mixture of food and mix them together to make it palatable before eating it. This rendition by Pho Vietz is quite delicious and the portion is very generous considering the price. I rate this 10/10 because it tastes awesome and the ingredients are fresh and clean.

It was very tangy, sweet-sour and fragrant. The cracker helped to dull the sourness of the salad by providing a savoury crunch. 10/10 an excellent dish at an appropriate price.

However these authentic favourites are quite pricey in the mid RM30s compared to Dory fish which is RM20(which they also serve). Each Fish and Chips ordered entails you choosing your type of fish from Haddock, Cod, Butterfish, Snapper and Dory and then choosing a side(mushy peas, coleslaw or baked beans) and a batter(original, lemon & herb, onion & garlic, coconut curry or chili lemon). The portion admittedly doesn't look too generous but it was surprisingly filling. The cod was very delicious and it reminded me of UK fish and chips. I would recommend this place if you want to try Cod and Haddock fish and chips which are more authentic to the UK version than the Dory fish we usually find in most local fish and chip shops. Pictured here is the Atlantic Cod with minted mushy peas and lemon and herb batter(RM34.90). Would rate this place 8/10 because of the nice atmosphere and friendly and helpful staff.

I could only see the 15pcs and 20pcs available so I went with the 15pcs. Pictured here are Swedish Meatballs(beef) 15pcs(RM15), Soup of the Day(Mushroom) (RM4.20), Fried Chicken Wings 6 pcs (RM16.50), Chicken meatballs with mixed vegetables 10pcs (RM10.50) and a Croissant(RM3.70). My meatballs tastes good as usual and their chicken wings were fantastic. Soup and croissant are so-so only. Definitely recommend coming here for their meatballs and wings if you haven't already and I advise you to do it on Mon-Thurs during off-peak hours(between lunch and dinner) because this place is infamous for getting crazily crowded.

The porridge came piping hot in a surprisingly large portion. I had to scoop the porridge into smaller bowls that were provided so that it could cool enough for me to eat it. There were plenty of pork and salted egg chunks in the porridge and the whole thing tasted very good and soon enough I finished the whole bowl. The tong sui was around average which was fine as tong sui is not this store's specialty. I would rate this 8/10 for price-portion ratio and tastiness but it gets very crowded on peak hours like dinnertime and there doesn't seem like there's enough space in this outlet.
