Looking for traditional nyonya food? Come here to kafe kiri they have almost everything you could want, even kuehs.

You can't ruin Pad Thai, if you do, you better call it something else, but here at black canyon, they make really good Pad Thai (RM14.90).

A little spicy than what I would prefer, but it's Thai food, of course it's spicy

Really nice and affordable plate of BBQ squid and rice (RM12)

RM39.90 for adult, pretty good considering they have a varied spread to choose from.

RM31.50 before tax and like most fish and chips in Johor, the fish is bland, lacks salt and breaks apart all too easily (most likely frozen and overcooked). The only saving grace is that the batter was good and crispy. Chips were good, and the accompanying salad was really nice, they really need to fix that fish.

They also has this new electric lemonade (RM14.90), which is a blue lemonade soda with pineapple bits, very refreshing.

Staff was kind and friendly (maybe because they just recently opened), manager came over to ask how was my meal, I couldn't bring myself to complain about the fish, so I just said it was alright.

A silky smooth latte, with a light and airy creaminess to it.

The salted caramel flavour goes well with the milky sweetness of the base latte.

Beef Krawpow and rice : RM11
Sate Paru : RM3.50 per stick
Americano : RM8

Not a bad place to dine in the middle of the city

Ikea has their Chinese New year special menu.
Salmon fillet with sezhuan sauce (RM22.90), ayam penyet (RM13.90), and caesar salad (RM6.50), this offer last till 15 February 2022.

This is the best Gyudon in Johor.
I absolutely love it.
Beef is tender and juicy, spilling with umami.
The rice, pickles, and eggs are on point, and meld so well.

It tastes like a homecook meal, paired with suntory premium malts it's just a phenomenal experience.

You can have this as a replacement for Yee Sang, kinda difficult to Lao, but overall a nice mix of prawn, salmon bits with dragon fruit, mandarin oranges, and some greens. I guess it's definitely healthier than regular Yee Sang.

Costs rm30 btw.
