huge portions i ordered the royale wagyu beef burger and while the wait for our food was quite long, the portion was really generous! i loved the bun, and the patty was thicc. not a bad deal in my opinion, will come back to try the pastas on the menu!

Any chance of meatballs? With the purported pivot towards Sichuanese cuisine, I am not sure if Tianfang retains any part of their old menu. In the off-chance that they do, grab their handmade beef balls which are juicy, bouncy and tender to the bite! Chaoshan Hotpot Located along New Bridge (and a little distance away from the noisy and crowded stretch between Temple and Mosque Streets), Tianfang is a nice little quiet spot for Chaoshan hotpot. This is my first experience with Chaoshan hotpot and I literally had no idea what to expect. According to the wait staff, the main difference is the dipping sauce. Chaoshan hotpot is usually served with shacha jiang, a Chaoshan specialty condiment made from oil, garlic, challots, chilli's and brill fish / dried shrimp. Taste-wise, it is savoury without being salty with a nice mild seafood briny flavour. I personally recommend adding a tad of chilli oil to spice things up and sesame paste to give it an additional nutty flavour. Tianfang serves 4 different soup bases (spicy mala, tomato, mushroom and the signature oxtail). I personally preferred the ox-tail soup, a thick full bodied broth which had a nice, thick and comforting beefy flavour which is perfect for rainy days. Chaoshan is an area in China known for the quality of their beef and Tianfang definitely lives up to this by serving good quality cuts of meats such as 雪花牛肉 or 'snowflake beef' from the area around the cows neck that is tender and rich in buttery fat. I am kinda late for this post and understand from more recent posts that the owners of Tianfang have re-pivoted towards Sichuanese cuisine and removed the Chaoshan hotpot. So this may be outdated!

Herbal beef carrot soup We visited the restaurant and found that it doesn't serve hot pot any more. The food is good. A bit expensive. Sad that Burpple vouchers can only be used for hot pot. Why can't they change the vouchers? It'll make it more worthwhile to visit.

Peranakan Buffet Peranakan Buffet at Sun's Cafe! First time here! First impression is that the buffet line is not extensive. My favourite item at this buffet was the Yam Rice, which comes with yam, mushrooms, sausages and some meat. The have live cooking noodle stations - Mee Rubus and Nyonya Lemak Laksa. However, both were not to my liking. For soup, there is cream of mushroom soup or pig stomach soup. The exciting part of this buffet is you can make your own rojak here! (Tip: Go to the dessert station and get the pineapple cubes from the fruit table to add it into the rojak! Hehe, I did this, because I didn't really eat the other fruits at the rojak stations - apple, mango, starfruit, cucumber and pear. While I am usually a HUGE fan of kueh pie tee here.. I ate one of their kueh piee tee and just stopped there. The cooked vegetable fillings had a funny taste to me. You can also DIY your own ice kachang or iced chendol here, but taste wise, not fantastic Overall quite an average buffet. However, there is an ongoing 1 for 1 promo now (original price is $60++ per pax for fri-sun lunch/dinner) if anyone wants to try it out for yourself. Sun's cafe Didn't had to use burpple as there were many 1f1 offer using credit card. Food tasted great, esp prawn, oyster, kuehs and Kueh pie ties. Laska was too thick for my liking. Peranakan Buffet Peranakan Buffet at Sun's Cafe ,Hotel Grand Pacific 😋😋😊Lunch buffet consist alot of spread from fried kway tiao , fried nyoh hiang, sambal prawn , fried chicken wing and my favourite prawn cracker Ayam buah keluak, beef rendang, chicken rendang and babi pongteh. I love how the babi pongteh taste so chewy and soft that melt in the mouth. They even have pork maw with white peppercorn which has a strong pepperish taste very nice soup 😋👍 I like their laksa , very nicely cook. With small prawn inside , the coconut taste can be abit more and will be dam shiok 🍜🤤 Their buffet is sastifying full and i tried all the dish hehe 😋😋overall was okie , worth the price for what i ate . Surprisingly good Hotpot Came by to celebrate a birthday as I bought a Chope voucher on a really good deal. For three of us, we decided to start with the $88 Chef Set Menu which came with a half-and-half soup pot, 2 starches, half portions of pork belly and beef slices, seafood platter (comprising prawns, squids, and garoupa fillets), vege & mushroom platter, and desserts. Added on $3.80 per pax for the condiment bar which included watermelon. This alone could be a satisfying meal for the three of us as the soups themselves (we had Dried Scallop & Winter Melon and Sichuan Spicy) were already chockful of ingredients. However, they were running a promotion at the time which was $3.80 for almost every ala carte order of hotpot ingredients...wow! The portions were also pretty decent for the price, like 3 dumplings or wantons for the price. Service was also attentive and so friendly; they offered to deshell our prawns, cook our noodles, and proactively suggested to takeaway our leftover soup! Drop by soon before their $3.80 promo ends because it is really such a good deal!

Kagoshima Wagyu Beef I used Burppke Beyond for the Kagoshima Wagyu beef. Each half portion consists of four large slices, costing $48. With Burppke 1-for-1 another half portion is given free. A whole portion would have been $96. It goes well with clear soup. I asked for their Special XO sauce at $3 instead of the usual self-mixed sauce. Prawn paste is nice too. Overall, a good experience especially with Burppke Beyond.

Good food Ordered chicken burger and chicken pizza (not in picture). Generous portion of chicken patty for the burger, so overall is quite filling. Pizza is delicious with thin crust. Ordered vanilla caramel shake ($9) for drinks, which was very sweet. Price without beyond 1 for 1 can be quite pricey (~$20/pax). Service is ok, staff are helpful. But staff kept looking towards us to see if we had finished our food, which could make customers feel uncomfortable.

Seafood Aglio, 🍍 Salsa 🍔 Only had the Mexican pineapple salsa burger available even tho it was only 7pm. Beef patty was huge. Pasta had this tangy spicy sauce. Would come back to try the other pasta & burger. They have a wide variety of board games as well with additional charge!
