We selected lemon and herb sauce for both - felt that the sauce was akin to sour mayo (read: would opt for another sauce for the sake of my taste buds).
The Portugese Grilled chicken was deliciously juicy. We thought it would be most value-for-money to use Beyond 1-1 to get the whole grilled chicken.
Highlight of the Chicken Taca Bowl was the spicy rice that came with. Vegetables used in the slaw was fresh and crisp. Unfortunately, the chicken taca pieces used for this dish was dry and hard.
Note that you are not allowed to upgrade the main to a meal if using Beyond to purchase.
Soft juicy pieces of wagyu - would have liked it more if the meat was less chewy. Other than that, this bowl of goodness definitely hit the spot and filled the stomach. Break the egg for egg yolk soaked rice which goes well with the truffle wagyu.
This bowl came piping hot as the mentaiko was freshly torched. Underneath that generous thick blanket of mentaiko hid chunky cubes of salmon sashimi. Tiny cubes of sweet tamago scattered within cuts through the heavy savory feel. So good that I wiped the bowl clean.
P.S. The regular bowl looks deceivingly small - I was legit full.
Tagliolini with mentaiko chubu in cream sauce
Cold angel hair with truffle oil, hokkaido scallop, sea urchin and kombu
Enough said. Some people call bone marrow, God’s butter - I would almost agree with that. This dish could be shared, but I would not go there. The pesto adds some freshness to compliment the richness of the marrow. If I were to change 1 thing, it would be to give the bread some char, for some smokiness to bring more depth to the dish; not to mention the glorious smell of lightly grilled bread. #burpple #catchflysg
The perpetual queue at this outlet is testament to the bubbletea hype. Got the Taiwan milk tea (less ice, 50% sugar level), topped with black sesame pearls and burnt caramel pearls. Both pearl flavours tasted exactly as its namesake. I personally felt that burnt caramel was a better accompaniment to the milk tea than sesame. I did enjoy chewing the pearls and tasting the pearl flavours on its own. For a more measured drinking experience, just go for one topping - there would be more than enough pearls for the drink.
My friend recommended this as her go-to Teishoku (Set Meal) and I can see why for its simplicity and clean-taste. The food presentation does look very different from that on the menu but I guess no issue as all items were accounted for. The best item in this set was the bowl of Japanese Kinme rice - each grain is separated and comes with a nice chewy density. Break the onsen egg into the rice and you will have yourself a simple and rather enjoyable dining experience. I also enjoyed the grated yam (reference to the white blob in the bowl with salmon slices) for it’s interesting slimy, sticky and slightly rough texture. A good meal for days when you want to eat clean!
Silly me hadnt realised I had selected a box of green-coloured ingredients till later. It was a very yummy box of green for lunch though! I had the fusilli pasta for base, with baked dory for protein, garlic butter brocolli and okra for sides, parmesan for topping and basil pesto sauce.

I lovelovelove the basil pesto sauce! The baked dory was on the nua side while I would have preferred a fish with more bite to the texture. Garlic butter brocolli was delicious and fragrant. The rest of the ingredients were nicely cooked, but nothing to highlight about.
Average dish which fills the tummy. Mix in a bit of the spicy belacan chilli for flavour.
