my favourite dish of the night. The mushroom was bursting with umami, having soaked up all the sauce in the bowl and was incredibly flavourful! I enjoyed the sauce so much, I paired my naan with it to get a wholesome balance of textures to the meal.

Ordered their Sirloin Steak - medium done ($24++) & Pork Chops ($24++) with the Burpple 1-for-1 deal. At this price point, together with the Burpple deal, I must say that this is the most value-for-money steak I have ever tried.

Both meats were super tender, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly! Apart from the meats, the fries were great too!

Will definitely return again for more :)

What a satisfying meal. The ground pot chicken was certainly new to us and oh boy, the braised potatoes and hand pulled noodles were amazing. The dumplings and mantous were polished off pretty quickly. Would revisit this friendly eatery again. Be sure to come in groups so that you can try more items off their menu!

Decided to head back to this establishment after being wowed by their garlic snowing pizza previously.

Unfortunately, the crab meat garlic pasta failed to deliver the wow factor. It is by no means a bad dish, but the flavour profile of this dish is nothing to shout about. Nevertheless, the dish was still worth it with the burpple one for one offer.

A classic pairing of ham and cheese, this Off The Bone galette was pretty darn good! Crisp on the sides and we loved the combination of the gruyere/ cheddar, slightly salty ham & oozy yolk, dusted with paprika. While enjoyable, it’s not filling at all so yep a tad on the pricey side. Pair it with a good cuppa and you’ve got yourself a good tea break!

Was also happy to see Ronin’s French toast on the menu! Can’t quite put my finger on what’s different BUT I think this is still one of the best French toast. Still fluffy, eggy, with the delightful pairing with hazelnut butter, bacon and sweet braised apple.

An unassuming casual chinese restaurant that serves simple chinese dishes affordably. Founded in 1989, @jinghuaxiaochi is renowned for serving delicious homemade dumplings amongst other dishes, with home-style recipes introduced by its founders.

The following are dishes that I’ve tried:
Pan-fried Mixed Seafood & Pork Dumplings
Xiao Long Bao
Chinese Pizza
Rosemary & Cheese Dumplings
Pan-fried Sichuan Veggie Dumplings
Steamed Xiu Mai
Zha Cai Rou Si Noodle
Red Bean Pancake

Today, the restaurant continues to uphold the tradition of offering "honest-to-goodness" Jing Hua cuisine to its fans old and new. They are available for dine-in, delivery and pick-up. Do check them out for some simple and honest chinese dishes!

The mezza platter comes with an Arabic salad, and a freshly made flatbread for dipping into the hummus (chickpeas, tahini), babaganoush (charcoal grilled eggplant with peppers, pomegranate sauce), labneh (Lebanese hung yogurt) and moussaka (cubed eggplant, chickpeas, tomato, green pepper and others). The flatbread was so-so. Liked the moussaka best! The cubed eggplants/tomatoes etc was pretty flavourful and tender. I haven’t had labneh before, but I found the stringy texture interesting. My friend liked the babaganoush a lot, and kept dipping her flatbread into it :) Hummus was pretty decent too!

The chicken kofta is marinated minced chicken that is charcoal grilled. It was juicy, and we all liked it. The rice served with it is nice and fluffy, and I didn’t find it dry even though there was no sauce.

Overall, I liked that the food was not too heavy on the palette, but still tasty. Portions are large, 3 of us shared these 2 dishes. Service is great too! They were very friendly :) Would make a return visit - they’re on both Beyond and Eatigo, so it’s even more affordable after 50% off.

For the Singapore outlet, the kitchen is helmed by Chef Or Hakmimi, who himself is an Israelian, and the menu features signature dishes such as the Baby Cauliflower and 11 original iterations of pita, with the bread flown in directly from a bakery Israel.

During the media tasting, I had the Steak & Egg ($21) and the pita bread was stuffed with seared sirloin slices and a fried egg, together with a dollop of sour cream, tomato, onion and Japanese cucumber. Very filling and comforting from each bite that you will keep going back for more. The freshness from the vegetables gives it a refreshing lift while the egg yolk gives it the necessary creaminess.

Besides the pitas, Miznon also has several signature sides such as the Baby Cauliflower Flower ($16) that is seasoned with a touch of olive oil, roasted in the oven till slightly charred and served whole. The Intimate ($24) is another side dish that features tender beef soft ribs that have been braised in Miznon’s homemade root stew of celeriac and carrot while the Hraime ($26) is a wholesome dish of Barramundi fillet braised in a Moroccan-style stew that contains garlic, paprika, cumin and harissa.

HAYO is the newest addition in town, located at Middle Road, next to Captain K and walking distance from Bugis Junction.

What’s special about the brand is they use 100% Australian premium cow milk specially imported, and included with various fresh ingredients.

The yogurt kiosk is offering 1-for-1 currently for takeaways till 30 April.
Delivery is also available at https://www.captaink.sg/online-ordering.
Well, understandably the price is higher for deliveries, and 1-for-1s don’t apply on the delivery platform and you probably need to add on other food items to meet the minimum of $60.
