Matcha Blueberry Donut Finally tried to get their donut so long 👀 bc I just passby food fair @ taka and also they got booth at there. I saw that they sell a variety of different flavour for donut but not much left as I went around after work. So my mum felt that their donut texture similar to bread texture but its slightly dry and a bit hard to cut thru. For matcha filling, I felt that it's not much bitter and blended towards sweet texture and a bit blueberry aftertaste.

Melbourne cookie - Looked similar to the ones from Folks and Stories, chewy and chunky! - Roasted hazelnuts gave a crunch to the ooey gooey texture with caramelised burnt honey in the cookie mix, with an acidic fruity undertone of dark chocolate. - Loved how full-bodied it was ✨

Chocolate hazelnut passionfruit lava tart - Wasn’t as oozy as I’d expected but the sweet chocolate was well-balanced by citrusy passionfruit and nutty hazelnut praline at the bottom 🍫 - Hazelnut cookie shell was super buttery and the crisp crumbly texture contrasted well with the creamy filling!

The OG Of Japanese Cuisine in Singapore I lived in Singapore during the 90s when Japanese food was rare to none, especially with authenticity. Shiraishi-San is the OG chef, trained at Nogawa, in delivering top quality and authentic craftsmanship to Singapore. While we ate lunch, the nigiri was spot on and the atmosphere wonderful. If you want to experience the OG Endo-Mae sushi in Singapore, this is the place. Must go for any Sushi lover in Singapore.

Tempura from Shirashi 白石. Even though this is primary a sushi restaurant, they do a fine rendition of tempura, though on the pricy side. Shiraishi is named after their owner, Mr Shiraishi Shinji, who has served the finest sushi and sashimi with pride for more than 12 years.

8pc Sushi Lunch Set Because it's recess week and our only chance to indulge in a slightly fancier lunch in the next few weeks, we decided to head to Shiraishi, a mainstay, under-the-radar traditional Japanese restaurant located within the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. Even though it wasn't top-notch sushi, we came away satisfied and well-fed. My favourite pieces here were the ootoro and ikura.

Spicy seafood aglio olio 26++ As far as cafe aglios go, this is quite good. The bite of the pasta is what you would expect for a cafe. They're too short tho, very hard to pick up w fork. Enough impact in the sauce from the aromatics, esp the fried garlic. Crystal prawns were fine, scallops were avg

Kaffir lime guava strawberry 5.5++ This is a masterpiece. Properly crispy and airy on the top and dense enough with some chew at the bottom of the pastry. The sauce is absolutely stunning too. Super strong, incredibly fruity but the strength is cleverly balanced out by the cream Well thought out, well executed, high quality ingredients and very satisfying. Not to mention it's not too greasy Must try. Get this to takeaway tho, why spend money just for eating there

Costata di Manzo ($88++) Tender, slightly fatty slab of 120 days grain-fed 380g ribeye served with fresh radicchio and some microgreens. Enjoyed the meat esp with the veal jus and parsley oil on the side. Would have been better though if served a little warmer. Veggies (a lot lol) were a great addition. 🇸🇬河边人均340人民币但味道特别的波斯餐厅 Hummus，每次去中东式餐厅都是必点的鹰嘴豆泥，好像每家做法略有不同，这家的比较少油的做法，整体偏干；把它抹在烤饼上吃，味道越吃越香，越香越上头 第一道主菜是Ghormeh Sabzi，这是一道经典的波斯炖菜，独特且丰富的咸鲜口味，加了炖熟的韭葱、香菜和欧芹等草药，这些草药为菜肴增添了清新的香气，另外还加入干石榴或柠檬，带来微妙的酸味，与草药的香气相得益彰，我们选了羊肉，经过长时间炖煮，肉质较为软烂，与豆类和草药混合，形成浓厚的风味。 第二道主菜是Tekeh Masti是波斯酸奶牛肉，味道真的很特别，牛肉应该是用波斯香料和酸奶提前腌制，口感很柔嫩、因为酸奶的加入，增加了一丝清爽感，味道鲜明且层次丰富。但是对比它的价格，折合人民币320元rmb，它的份量可以说少的可怜，一串牛肉顶上一顿自助的价格了 虽然味道比较特别，但不可能再去吃了，两个人吃个半饱，花了130新，CP值太低了，不值当不推荐

Mango sandwich 5.5nett So they use their signature bread for the sandwich. It's really quite unique, it's got some heft and works well in a thicker sandwich, and it has some bite as well. Almost has a cake like bounce, but seeing how it comes in their sandwich I'm not motivated to buy a full stack Mango today was v sour, this wasn't good at all

Custard bun 3.2nett It's really incredible. The same complaint about the type of bun, being too dense and creamy, would have preferred a fluffier type But the custard is godly. The perfect texture, between lightness and density, just very voluptuous. Flavour was absolutely amazing too and sweetness was perfect. Even the temperature was perfect, it's kept chilled and so having it right there, it was even better than when I took away. I inhaled this. We were supposed to share but I couldn't help but finish it and told my friend to get another one for herself Must try, dining in

Spicy vodka rigatoni ($35) 🍝 9/10 If you're an indecisive person like me, opt for this! The red pasta was giving me both tart and creamy. The spiciness wasn't overwhelming but complemented the al dente rigatoni. Overall a really amazing dish and I had a hard time deciding between choosing this and the cacio e Pepe as my favourite!

Cacio e Pepe ($35) 🍜 10/10 It's a wonder how the sauce was only made of cheese and pepper, and no heavy cream! The pasta was so decadent and creamy that I completely forgot what a simple dish this was. This dish inspired me to try making it myself but of course I came nowhere close.

1-1 hearty brunch!! got d 1-1 brunch - limited to either almond butter or avocado sourdough! wish it was listed clearer as we went there thinking more options were available for the 1-1 brunch:( but nonetheless, they were very very generous with the almond butter and it was literally dripping LOL eggs were super silky, and sourdough was toasted nicely! we added on sour plum sweet potato fries which had a nice balance of salty and sour and stayed crispy for a long time! however its a small cosy place with limited seats so come during non peak hours!

Miyazaki Green Tea Miyazaki Green Tea (Pot) ($7) it was complemented well as it's good for digestion to eat with pancake tbh and need to wait for tea steep in for flavours at least 5 to 10 minutes for drinking.

Hojicha Tiramisu saw the breaking news on facebook when they closed down on early june so it's quite sad that I decided to visit them before the shop closed down for good. Hojicha Tiramisu ($17) decided to order since I saw a couple of food reviews about their tiramisu series on burrple. But it's not that disappointed tbh as their pancake dough, sauce and jelly got strong hojicha taste. As I compared with Matcha Tiramisu, it's don't have jelly as side dish :"( so not that worth it for their pricing. But their mascarpone cheese really got thick and creamy texture on top of their pancake as I don't really like this tbh. overall it's ok for me but I wanted to try matcha azuki pancake before closed down.

berrylicious pancake 3/5⭐️ -pancakes are much denser than the regular jp soufflé pancakes and had a spongy and cakey bite to them. reminiscent of macdonalds hotcakes. they’re made with a special organic 7 grain mix so pretty healthy?? ;) -the vanilla bean flavor of the ice cream pairs well with the not so sweet pancakes -syrup is a tart strawberry purée blend~
