Loved the Hyderabad Biryani from Mr Biryani😍! The rice was definitely the star of the show, as it was super fluffy and flavourful, and the taste of the spices was not overpowering as well🍚. Somehow the rice in the Chicken Dhum Biryani was more flavourful than the one in the Mutton? Hence we preferred the Chicken🍗 more! The meats were good as well, being quite tender☺️. The portion is really big too so do share with a few others. Definitely worth a try if you're looking for some tasty biryani!

Love Confectionery is located really far away from our house, but we're glad we went out of our way to try their bakes😁. Their Buttercream Cake is so fragrant, light and fluffy that we found ourselves polishing a slice off in no time🍰. Love that there are many toppings you can choose to add to the cake, like peanut, almond, or chocolate sprinkles🍫, but we found ourselves liking the peanut🥜 and plain versions the most! They offer a variety of other cakes, breads🥯 and snacks as well, such as Pandan Cake and Custard Bun. Really appreciate such bakeries with affordably priced, wide variety and delicious bakes, wish that it was nearer to us though 😭.

It's our first time trying plant-based Vietnamese food, and we're glad we did because we absolutely loved it😍! Definitely get their signature, The Kind Pho, as the broth was soooo flavourful and delicious. Honestly, just having the broth and silky flat rice noodles alone was enough for us🍜. Such a simple and comforting dish but with complex flavours! Other dishes like the salad🥗 and summer rolls tasted very refreshing, making them good side dish options. The Bahn Mi was stuffed with ingredients and we were so full by the end the meal🥖. We truly enjoyed the meal and can't wait to return in the future for more plant-based foods😀!

Guzman y Gomez is probably the most fuss-free and convenient mexican food option for us, not to mention that the food is super good too👏! Especially love the nachos and its combination of corn chips, refreshing salsa🍅, creamy guacamole🥑 and pulled pork. Simply a burst of flavours in every mouthful! We always get tacos🌮 or burrito bowl as well, perfect for a light meal~🤤

Thanks to Heytea's anniversary 1-for-1 promotion, we finally got to try their Very Grape Cheezo🎉! Absolutely loved their cheese foam, it's like having a cheesecake but in the form of foam! Strong cheese taste but not jelat at all, damn nice🧀!! The Grape tea was refreshing as well, with grape puree at the bottom🍇. However, as the drink was ice-blended, it got a bit bland towards the end🧊. Also, given how expensive this drink is normally, we don't see ourselves ordering it often😬. To enjoy the cheese foam, we'll probably add it as a topping to their classic tea options in the future instead😋!

Late to the game but finally tried ✨Eggslut✨Opted for the takeaway option for some discounts and also to bypass the looong queue😄👍🏻Got the Fairfax Sandwich for that thick layer of creamy scrambled eggs🥚🥚🥚sandwiched between pillowy brioche buns. The scrambled eggs were really buttery but personally felt that the entire sandwich was a tad too jelat/ heavy for one person to finish😅The truffle hashbrowns were okay but the truffle taste was rather subtle🤔Would definitely opt for the takeaway option if we were to eat it again or dine in if the queue is really short😂

Pampering ourselves during the long weekend with Anti:dote’s Mother’s Day High Tea!🌸✨💃 Generally more of a savory person but have to say that their sweets were better and not overly sweet😅 Favourite item has got to be the Madagascan Vanilla scones especially when it’s served warm😌

The weather's been really hot these few days, we had to get some drinks to cool down🥵!! Both drinks we got were really light and refreshing, especially the Grapefruit and Lychee Tea🥤. The Winter Melon Chrysanthemum Tea had a herbal taste from the Chrysanthemum, kind of reminiscent of Yeo's packet drinks? Hence, we're not sure if it's really worth the price tag🤔. However, it seems that one of their specialties are interesting toppings such as Sweet Potato🍠 and Taro Pearls which we did not add on as we were too full. Will try adding these next time if we decide to get these drinks again☺️!

We've had Black Sesame bun and bao before, but Black Sesame Mochi Bun🥯 is a first for us. The bun itself was soft and airy, with lots of black sesame filling inside. We liked that the black sesame filling was moist and not grainy, and not too sweet as well😄! Was concerned at first that the mochi might be hard or too plain tasting, but it was soft and chewy, which provided a nice contrast of textures😌. However, we would've preferred if the mochi was more spread out in the bun as ours was just a blob in the middle, which meant that we only got the mochi bits in the middle. Nonetheless, we liked it! ☺️

The Crispy London Snow Duck Bun was on the sweeter side while the Black Pepper version had a pretty strong peppery🧂 taste which contrasted well with the slightly sweet duck filling.

Happy Mother's Day💐! To celebrate, we got a Parent's Day Set from London Fat Duck🦆. As many restaurants are coming up with specially curated set meals, we decided to get the set as it seemed like a pretty fuss-free option☺️. The Roast Duck was nice and went well with the braised sauce, but the rest of the dishes tasted pretty normal. The portions were also pretty small.

Overall, the set had a pretty good mix of meats, vegetables and carbs, but we did wish that the portion was a tad more to justify the price😬

Managed to take a good break and enjoyed lots of good food during the long weekend, and Dong Bei food was one of them😀! The Pickled Cabbage with Starch Noodle, having a sour taste to it, was very appetising. The Sauteed Tomato with Egg was super smooth and silky🍅🍳, while the Sweet and Sour Pork was really crispy, even after being left out for some time! However, we did find it's sauce a tad too vinegary, and preferred the pork pieces that has less sauce on it as those were crispier and tasted less vinegary🥩. The Sichuan Style Boiled Sliced Fish was super soft as well, with just the right amount of spice🌶️. With its affordable prices and good portions, it makes a great place for gatherings. The menu is super extensive as well, and we'll definitely be back to try other Dong Bei dishes🤓!
