Amazing, amazing pie comprising a tender snapper fillet and asparagus in cream sauce under tanned puff pastry engraved with, yes, a fish. The tuna steak, cooked a spot-on medium, was well-seasoned and quite tasty with pesto and sweet tomatoes.

How often do you get to see this in Singapore nowadays? It is slowly becoming a lost trade and we must preserve its heritage now for the future generations. If you happen to be around the Bedok vicinity, do drop by the Bedok North 216 market to have a try at this old school snack.

Chicken teriyaki don set ($15.80) with salad, chawanmushi, pickles, miso soup and dessert. This is such a great deal!

The craze is slowing down, the queue is shorter and the staff work fast. I opted for the less ordered option. Multi grain ($5.90) and it was actually surprisingly good! According to my other friends who ordered different options, this is the best flavour so far.

Waited 40mins for this but it was pretty worth it!

🙆 Pacamara, probably one of the most hippest cafe at Upper Thomson. Truffle Benedict is a worth a mention, the homemade truffle hollandaise sauce is so dope 👍

🍰 The only thing I like about here. Anw, have a great week guys!

Pretty much an institution and having their own style of frying, the Fried Hokkien Noodles here is quite dry but that's cool because all the "wok hei" flavour has been fried into the strands of "beehoon" and "mee". Another unique point is that their noodles are kept short and "al dente". Don't expect any "sambal chilli" either because all you get are slices of red chili in a light soya sauce to go with the fresh lime. Personally, I find it gives the dish a distinct purer taste. I guess when you've been doing this since 1963, there is no need to fix it if it ain't broke :)
