Had a wonderful Indonesian cuisine at Rica Rica. Their curry is so good!!

What we had:
+ Complimentary crackers for appetizers
+ Beef rendang/Lamb kari (curry) for mains
+ Lamb sate (satay) for sides
+ Soto ayam kampung (Indonesia style chicken soup) for soup
+ Chendol Panna Cotta for dessert

I chose the lamb curry for main and it was super good, especially with rice! I also liked the satay, which tasted different from the ones we had in SG. More charred. The dessert was fantastic. A nice take on the traditional chendol. Meal was enjoyable.

Korean Cafe at Bali Lane

What we had:
+ Matcha cube, the โ€œno. 1โ€ item on the menu
+ Coffee! โ˜•๏ธ

This place was as sweet as the dessert on the menu. A good place to retire after a long walk under the scorching sun. โ˜€๏ธ

Peruvian cuisine ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ช

This restaurant serves authentic dishes from Peru (according to them).

What we had:
+ Ceviche\Zesty raw fish for Appetizer
+ Cochinillo con Arroz\Suckling pork with Rice (Christmas menu) for Main
+ Parihuela\Seafood soup with crab meat for Side

Seafood was very fresh and the service was great too. For the price tag, the portion could be bigger tho. ๐Ÿฅน

Christmas market ๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ…๐Ÿป

We tried hot chocolate, mulled wine and sโ€™mores and sampled different chocolate flavours. I am more of a traditionalist when it comes to my chocolates so I didnโ€™t quite enjoy the flavours which are not sweet. The hot choco and mulled wine were not so bad! ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿท

Christmas Buffet ๐ŸŽ…๐Ÿป ๐ŸŽ„ ๐ŸŽ

A nice place to celebrate Christmas with your family. The staff (chefs and waiters) were very friendly and helpful. Service was prompt!

Festive buffet specials:
+ Christmas turkey, ham, beef carvings
+ Cheesy mac & cheese (my favourite)
+ Christmas pudding, chocolate log cake and panettone cake

I like that I donโ€™t feel judged for eating too much or too little here. The seating arrangement provides some privacy for the diners. Enjoyed the overall experience. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

GRAND OPENING ๐ŸŽŠ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

After exploring the entire bird park and watching the incredible shows, we took a break at the Penguin Cafe.

What we had:
+ Penguin โ€œBaoโ€ or Bun
+ Fruit Parfait
+ Cappuccino

Cute-looking food with a great view of the penguins. Just in time for the penguin feeding session. Penguins need to eat too. ๐Ÿง โค๏ธ

The food looked pretty and just like the pictures in the menu except that they were not spared from shrinkflation.

What we had:
+ Squid ink pasta with scallops
+ Duck confit
+ Ribeye steak with foie gras
+ Lychee peach tea (cold)

Overall not too bad, especially with Mario & friends as the backdrop during this period. โ˜บ๏ธ

A pretty pretty place to chill after shopping ๐Ÿ›๏ธ๐Ÿ’…๐Ÿป

What we had:
+ Guacamole with cherry toast
+ Guacamole Tamago Sando
+ Coffee brรปlรฉe

I only liked the ambience and the service. The toast tastedโ€ฆnormal. Not sure why it is chef recommended. Need to improve the menu. The coffee was good tho. โ˜•๏ธ

Birthday Cake ๐ŸŽ‚ ๐ŸŽ ๐ŸŽˆ

This cake was really pretty to look at. They chose the earl grey tea + chocolate flavour (Iโ€™m not sure what the other flavours are). Taste wise- it is unique and just sweet enough for my liking. ๐Ÿฐ

A great place for family gathering. The signature dish like the yam ring and Peking duck are pretty good. Another thing I like about this place is their service. Highly recommended!
