My first trip there on a sat afternoon (2.15pm) left me disappointed as they were sold out! Revisited on a PH afternoon &merry, I managed to get one of the last few servings.

Freshly made in the small hideout at Wisma’s Japan Town, the place is filled with the smell of castella cakes (hahaha probably bcos the batters are similar?)

The pancakes look real massive like 3 Large Chicken Baos! They’re super flufffyyyyy! Sadly, it lacks some moisture in them &they just taste like very soft &airy (also well-presented) castella.

Do note that it costs $18, which is $21 thereabout aft GST &svc charge. ALL FOR THE ‘GRAMMM!

Their menu reminds me of the food I had in China, especially the mala baby lobsters! we had the salted duck which is salty (duhhh) but real fragrant! My dining partner commented that it tastes like CHICKEN (thats how tender it is)!!

Another must-order would be the Roasted Duck Bao (looks like xiaolongbaos on the menu). It drips great braised gravy, light and yet bursting with flavours. Hidden under the skin is a ball of well-minced duck meat.

The seafood soup has really fresh fish paste, beancurd skin, prawns &half a flower crab. You can taste the sweetness of the sea in the milky fish broth.

Le Salmon! features a beetroot rosti which is honestly just a red hashbrown! picture worthy &nothing bad about this dish. would strongly recommend the Umami Pasta! burst of flavours &fragrance.
Mains are really affordable with Burpple Beyond!
Not to forget, do try the special and good Pepper Agave coffee.

The place has really pinterest-worthy interior! the burgers lack meat juices but thankfully they’ve an array of sauces available (orange sauce, vegan mayo, bbq &chilli). Mint-elderflower thirst quencher is ace ✨ Lunch set is really value for money - includes burger, side, thirst quencher &a hot beverage (post meal) for just +$5.

Special mention to the chilli soft shell crab bao! the bun was fried &had a slightly crispy exterior. the sauce was watery &didnt have much of a strong flavour. But, it tasted well when the bao was drenched in it! it went well with the sweetness of the crab meat &wasn't too heavy on the palate. Iced lychee tea was not bad too. If only the tea was stronger. As for the salmon mentaiko ricebowl, i wish the rice could be improved on as it's just plain white rice~
