This has got to be the cleanest and healthiest risotto I've had. Mild in flavour and with minimal cream, with wild black grains in the rice mix and grilled carrots and zucchini for a more wholesome meal. Great if you want something healthier but still tasty and filling.
The star of this dish has to be the noodles (and not the giant prawns which are also not pictured here). The linguine is incredibly umami and peppery, with bits of prawn meat and salmon roe in the pasta mix so you bits of seafood in each bite. The two prawns that came with it were huge and fresh too, just cooked slightly tough. The portion was pretty big too so definitely worth the price.
The sheer amount of truffle goodness on this is 👌🏻😌 and the fact that they are so thinly sliced makes you less guilty that you are shoving them into your mouth fry-after-fry. One thing though I felt it lacks is salt; apart from the taste and aroma of truffle, these fries are lacking a bit of seasoning. Otherwise, portion is good and makes for a great sharing appetiser! Also, don't leave it for too long like us or a pool of oil will start to form at the bottom of the pile!
The combination of scrambled eggs with curry rice is a match made in food heaven. Opted for the level 2 🌶🌶 because I may or may not have been semi-scarred from my level 3 experience. There were small bits of scallops, prawns, clams scattered in the curry mix and although they were really tiny pieces, it made for a more authentic home-cooked styled dish so I don't mind. Definitely one of the best curry rice in Singapore. 👍🏻
New on a menu is this variation of their Tom Yum seafood pasta. The dish ($14.90) was really tasty but found it a little too salty especially towards the end. The dry morsels of crabmeat sitting on TOP of the dish were just meh though. The sauce was cooked with Chilli padi so it's great for spicy lovers (like myself!). No queue and food was served pretty quick so will recommend if looking for a chilled out place in town and a quick meal!
Selected the Poached Eggs and Brioche and topped it up with Smoked Salmon and Sautéed Mushrooms. Loved the al fresco dining option on a cooling afternoon, get to people-watch and dog-watch (lots of dogs and dog-friendly cafes around this area). Food was ok; just simple ingredients assembled together. And also the poached egg could have been runnier. 😐
Ordered my usual favourite Tartufo E Funghi again and shared a side of sweet potato fries. Fries were pretty good; slightly charred with a subtle burnt taste and tasted great with the chilli sauce dip. And these fries are thinly cut (unlike the truffle one) so find myself munching on them non-stop. 🍟
