a pretty interesting take on chirashi with their signature chili crab sauce! was initially quite apprehensive to try raw fish with chili crab but it turned out well. soft shell crab was of decent size and fried to perfection, mentaiko was generous for the fries too. love the decor and vibes of the cafe, def worth checking out for a nice date! saw some pups outside, think they’re dog friendly 🐶

used beyond for 1f1 mains, got the duck confit and australian rib eye (300g). both were pretty good in their own ways — found the puree for the duck to complement the dish really well, and the steak was perfectly medium rare paired with the signature beurre blanc. special shout-out to the unassuming plate of truffle fries that was only $6 (surprising for a place like this). loved the look and feel of the restaurant with cosy rounded sofa seats! will def come back

first time here, there was a bit of a queue but it moved fast. sesame chicken was good as expected with generous portion! other dishes like sambal lady fingers was good too except the gongbao gravy was a little watery. can’t wait to come back and try the mala chicken 😋

ordered the set for 2 comprising whole lobster, mayfair burger, lobster roll, drinks and dessert! added on the prawns and didn’t regret it. lobster was meaty and went well with the sauce. wasn’t the best lobster roll though as the bun was not crispy and buttery enough. service wise the part timers were super accommodating and helpful but i have to note that the door girls were pretty rude. the moment we got there they dismissively told us they had no tables left instead of asking if we had a reservation 🤣

was excited to try out hvala’s newest outlet and of course it’s lovely with zen/muji minimalist vibes. brownie was fudgy and ice cream had strong tea notes! p cool that this is vegan friendly~ also tried the matcha-hojicha latte which was interesting how both complemented each other. nice place to chill but do note they had a 60min seating limit when i went

one of the best bowls of ramen i’ve had and i don’t typically enjoy noodles 🤤 spicy broth was tasty and not gelak at all but the pork chashu is what deserves a highlight. it’s so tender with the right ratio of fat it melts in your mouth! can’t find chashu better than this. be prepared to queue

store is located within a coffee shop so was rather surprised to see sashimi on the menu. for $10 i’d say this bowl is worth it! the rice is mixed with pickles and is a little spicy, quite appetising although it may overpower the fish

got the jowl and belly, like how they clearly explain what to expect for each part in the menu. pork belly was fatty and melt-in-the-mouth! bowls are pretty affordable but i think i’ve seen them sell the frozen shabu meats in the supermarket (same brand) 😅 sauces really complement the dish though! fried oyster was good too~

ice cream was really good with strong tea notes, one of the best lavender ice creams i’ve tasted. pricier than your average waffle ice cream but worth a try!

can’t really go wrong with an egg benedict! loved how the avocado and salmon complemented the brioche~ lovely cafe albeit small
