The pork ribs were cooked "Dong Po"-style. They were first steamed until the meat are ready-to-drop-off kind of tender, then bathed with hot oil to achieve that caramelised taste with a little crisp on the skin. The clever use of ribs instead of belly provided a healthier option for everyone. ❤

Coupled with asparagus that balanced the meaty serving, this was one of our favourite dish during yesterday's media lunch. .

Each buffet diner will get a slice of tuna, chutoro, otoro and hotate and salmon belly. They forgot to serve us during our family meal. I walked past this kopitiam with the heavenly hay bee hiam aroma in the air.
I discovered the lady frying chilli in the stall and found myself breathing in heavier and deeper. I want as much of the fragrance in my nose as possible!!! After walking past for the 3rd time while getting my stuff, i decided that i should tabao my lunch even though it was only 10am. This is seriously too good to miss. The chilli is simply tokong - strong hay mee fragrance yet chilli doesn't overpower the tongue. Imo, better than Kin Kin Ban Mian!

My parents-in-law recommended me to eat this White Beehoon at this inconspicuous food stall. Go try it if you are near. Be warned that dinner crowd is a lot more than lunch crowd.

I love the superb deep-flavoured broth and will always finish every drop of it. This serving is only $5. There is the crayfish option for $8 and above which is a good deal imo. White beehoon should not be that expensive. .

Throw back to Thursday night dinner at Timbre+ @garcons.sg. This cheese topped with truffle and truffle oil was really tasty. I found myself finishing it when didi was the one who ordered it. The baked cheese cooled down and hardened pretty fast under the high speed ceiling fan and he had enough of it very soon after. I enjoyed the rye bread with a perfect crusty skin and pillow soft insides. Not so much by my Toothless boy though. He now has only 1 lower front tooth left for biting 😂😂 We went with our usual group of friends and we ended up shouting to be audible as well as being flustered by the lack of usual selection for kids' meal. Fish & Chips seemed to be their own choice there.

That aside, dining at Timbre+ should be good without kids. I would sit very far away from the main stage though!! We were seated right in front of @teppeidaidokoro and suffered a lot.

Needless we say, we quickly left to head over to Holland V for ice cream.

Their selection of ingredients is pretty ex though. I have stopped buying from those stalls which charges by weight. Once, I paid $22 for being too greedy and had to tabao for next day. 😂
